Do you ever get so tired of "extreme" that "boring" sounds alluring?
Were we ever supposed to see, hear, do this much? So much noise... how can we feel peace?
Social media constantly bombards us with the most extreme. The most edited, funniest, saddest, best, worst. But little in life is actually, truly, extreme. It is mundane, consistent, boring. That is how it is supposed to feel. Safe.
No wonder we're all stressed, chronically fatigued, nervous systems out of whack. I implore you to take a mighty, reflective step back. Check out from the noise and check in with yourself.
Who am I? What do I believe, value? What do I need? What things feel best for me? INTEGRATE those things. 🀍

I'm stepping back into the racing world after 2ish years off. Lots of failures in front of me, but you know what? I love that. I love the grind and the perseverance because it makes the victories that much sweeter.

Did you know that the American Heart Association only recommends up to 25 grams of sugar per day for women and up to 36 grams per day for men!? The world health organization recommends up to 50 grams per day (of added sugar).
For reference, one teaspoon of sugar you might add to your coffee or tea contains 4 grams of sugar.

Life is chaotic and messy and hard and busy and sometimes not fun. Sometimes every day is a struggle, for days on end. But you keep going. You keep trying. You keep showing up every day. Your "best" changes from day to day, and that's okay! My best on my worst days looks far different from my best when I'm feeling great. This is OK. This is normal. Give yourself grace ❀️ just never ever give up.

You think you have life all figured out. You've got the key πŸ”‘ and all of its secrets have been unlocked. It's easy.
But nothing stays easy for long. Because what would we learn? How would we get stronger? What would make us grow?
I was in a season of "grind" for a long time. Finishing school, doing hard things, challenging myself, establishing my career. But going hard all the time and earning the next achievement and adding just one more thing and never saying "no" wears you down.
So I stepped back from a lot. I said no to things. It has been an adjustment. Learning to be with yourself and work on yourself is another way of leveling up your life. You see areas you were blind to, or maybe were running from.
So I may not post as much and that is because I don't feel inspired to inspire others at the moment. I am in a season of learning and practicing, not a season of creating and leading. I am rediscovering and building something new. I am healing myself to become the best version of me.
I have learned that each new level of life has new hard lessons. They don't get easier, I get stronger.
