EDGE 12u is ready to get back to work after a few weeks off!! 💪🏼

During the down time, the team had a gift exchange and enjoyed a Christmas movie together at the Waynesboro theatre. 🎄

Some of the team also got together to volunteer at the Salvation Army on Christmas Eve. The players (and parents) spent a few hours there doing a variety of jobs. The girls were helpful and enjoyed the time spent there! ♥️

Halloween Scream 12uB/C Runner ups!! This group has several new members and it hasn’t been the smoothest start to the season for them. They have taken some lumps and felt the frustration from coaches. But this weekend…..THIS WEEKEND, they came together and became a TEAM! They were having a BLAST together and the play on the field showed it!!!! 🤗

Saturday was a bit of a confidence booster as the competition wasn’t where we want to be. BUT, it was COSTUME DAY and we won the contest for the 12u division and took care of business on the field! 🙌🏼 🙌🏼
Today, we went in as the #1 seed and faced better competition. We won our first game 9-0. 👏🏻
Our second game went into ITB and we came out on top 6-2!! These were the first two runs we gave up in 5 games!!! WHAT?! 😳😳😳
The championship game….we faced a much bigger team, but we didn’t back down. Ultimately, errors/walks got the best of us this game and we lost 7-3. Our opponent had 0 earned runs. 😔 It’s tough to take a loss that way, but it gave several opportunities for learning/growth! 💪🏼
As coaches, we plant seeds and hope they grow. We question whether they are listening to us or even care at times. This weekend was proof that they ARE listening and they have the ❤️ that it takes to battle through a weekend!!
2nd out of 17 teams is AWESOME, but we are so much more proud of the growth they displayed this weekend…growth as teammates, growth as hitters and growth as leaders. 🥹 It’s weekends like this that give us the fuel to keep working! 😤
Let’s carry it on to next weekend, girls, we have another weekend of FUN ahead of us! 💪🏼🧡

Edge 12u as “Cereal Killers” for the Halloween Scream Tournament. They sure did KILL it on the field today! 3-0, 0 RUNS allowed ,40 runs scored, 0 ERRORS, 0 HITS allowed!!! 😤 💪🏼

The season came to an end this weekend for the 12u team. We played in an 12u Open tournament in Danville with some GREAT competition! At the start of the season, we knew we may take some lumps. Our team is both little and young (3-10 year olds, 1-12 year old), but as the season has progressed; they have learned to play BIG!!! 🤩

This weekend was full of laughter and tears as we knew this was the last weekend for this group of girls to play together. Most of them have played together for 2-3 years. They’ve grown together in softball and in friendship…what more can a coach/parent ask for??

The weekend included a 10pm fire alarm and evacuation at our hotel, end of the year gifts, dinner out, a few rounds of Heads Up, Telephone and Spoons! And of course some softball!

We finished 2-1 on Saturday and earned our way into the GOLD bracket! We didn’t win, but we sure did make our presence known! 💪🏼 These girls have no idea how proud they make us both as softball players and humans. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of their journey. 🧡

Edge Softball 12u finished 2-1 on the day at the Cinco De Mayo Tournament in York, PA. The girls played very well and proved that although small; they are MIGHTY!!💪🏼😤 #4 seed out of 14 going into tomorrow.
We also had a very long break today, which allowed for a team picnic and some team bonding for the girls. 🧡

Shout out to the 10u team for going 3-0 on the day and landing the #1 seed going into tomorrow! Keep rolling girls; we see you!!!! 👀 💪🏼
