Wi******er recap: Last Saturday, RDH Motorsports ventured to Wi******er Speedway in Virginia. Twenty-three (23) teams/cars signed in for action, and these were 23 good teams! Under the right circumstances, 20 could have won the race. We started the night with an uphill battle as we drew pill 100 out of 100. This placed us starting 8th (last) in our heat. Eric did a great job. The car was fast, but so was the rest of the field. It basically was "pack racing" as the majority of the field was separated by a mere .1 to .3 seconds from lap to lap. In other words, the drivers in positions 2 through 8 took turns as to who turned the fastest lap. We finished 8th and this placed us starting 23rd (dead last) in the feature. In the feature, Eric raced very well...passed a few cars. Again, however, passing was a premium and the field was very evenly matched as again it proved to be "pack racing." We finished 14th. Overall, a good night as we took the checkers and kept the car in good shape. We will take it, especially after the damage received the week prior at Path Valley. On to the next! Thanks to Farner's Racing Collectables and DL Friese Transportation for the great support. We will be announcing our upcoming scheduled races soon! Photo by Kevin Chapman/wrtspeedwerx

Sooo...we finished 8th in the heat...BUT, it was pack racing. Second through 8th were in the same straightaway for the race duration. Looking at each driver's lap times, it depends what lap the race was on as to whom was the fastest..and the separation was 0.1 to 0.3 per lap...very minor. So, we made some minor adjustments that we feel will give the car more drive off the corner. Still, we start shotgun on the field (23rd) for the feature. This is an evenly matched field of cars. Only one direction to go from here. Wish us the best!

Warm-ups just concluded. Eric said the car felt fine, and the car looked like it had good speed. We were 7th fastest in hot laps. So, no adjustments for the heat race. We will start eighth out of eight in the second heat race. The heats are coming up, shortly.

RDH Motorsports is signed in at Wi******er Speedway in Virginia for tonight's Legends race. Currently, there are 23 Legends cars here (will update if necessary). We drew pill No. 100, so regardless of car count per heat, we will most likely line up shotgun on the field. The positive is that it appears at this time that all cars will qualify. Legends are third out tonight per the itinerary. Hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m.

Our driver, Eric, is also a certified welder, which makes it a lot easier when you need things replaced like rear frame horns. Also, we replaced/painted new front fenders, bumpers, nerf bar, uprights, etc., after our crash as Path Valley. The car is ready for today's (Saturday) Legend action at Wi******er Speedway in Virginia. We are loading now and will be hitting the road around 1:30 p.m. Let's hope for a better finish/result today than last Saturday. Thank you to Farner's Racing Collectables and DL Friese Transportation for all the support! Let's go racing!

Take the 8 minutes to watch this video! RDH co-owner, Mike Donald, came out of his shell....A BIT...had some fun, gave you some music history, and gave you an in-depth view of the neighborhood, race shop and wreck damage from Saturday. Check it out! Oh, and he continued to brag on his piece of NASCAR history that the team uses today in the shop!

Path Valley Re-Cap: The night started out blah, then it became really good, then so-so, then down the tubes. Let's explain: With a serious rain threat, Path Valley decided to forego heat races. The format became hot lap time trials, B-Main, then feature.
Eric timed 24th of 35 cars. Only the top-20 were guaranteed a starting spot in the A-Main. So, we started third in the B-Main that took the top-four finishers. Eric did a great job, and the car was really fast. Eric finished third in the B-Main, which put him in the 23rd starting position in the A-Main.
The car was fast, but the track was "heavy lockdown", and there wasn't much passing. Eric did a good job maintaining speed and staying in contact with the pack. Then, on the 19th lap, Eric hit a sizable rut going into turn 3.
This caused some significant damage to the right side of the car. The car spun, and it was collected by another car. This bent our rear horns and knocked off the bumper. Our night was done. The team was scored 23rd.
We have purchased all the parts needed to get the car fixed, and work began Sunday. Another 2-3 nights in the shop, and the car should be fixed and ready to go for Wi******er this coming Saturday.
Not all nights can be good, but we will overcome and be back very strong. Thank you to DL Friese Transportation and Farner's Racing Collectables for the continued support!

RDH Motorsports is loaded for today's Legends race at Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run, PA. Let's hope the rain holds off for the evening. In the last four races where the car took the checkers, our average finish is 8th. Calculate in the fifth race where we dropped out, our average finish is 11th. Our projection for our team, compared to the high-dollar teams, is to target our finish between 6th and 14th. So far, we are hitting our marks. This has taken a lot of work and time, and let's hope that our momentum continues to build. The cell service at Path Valley is spotty at best, so we aren't sure if we can provide updates throughout the night or be forced to give the race re-cap tomorrow (Sunday). Thank you to Farner's Racing Collectables and DL Friese Transportation for the continued support. Wish our team and driver, Eric, luck tonight. Let's do it!

Last Saturday, RDH Motorsports participated in the Farner's Racing Collectables Make-A-Wish Foundation Car Show and Truck Convoy to benefit the Make-A-Wish Kids. It was very special to us that our car won the KIDS Choice Award over all cars in the show. Our driver, Eric Moats, is shown holding the trophy. Thank you to Eric Farner and Farner's Racing Collectables for playing host to this annual show to benefit Make-A-Wish and for its support and partnership of our race team.

Hidden Valley recap: RDH Motorsports ventured to Hidden Valley Speedway for its first-ever visit to the Clearfield, PA facility. Fourteen (14) drivers/teams signed in for the event. Eric started on the pole for heat No. 2. A few laps into the heat, the car developed a really bad push, which relegated the car to a fourth-place finish in the heat. The team quickly made some spring adjustments, tire pressure adjustments and brake bias adjustments. Eric started 8th in the 20-lap feature. It didn't take more than a lap to learn that our adjustments really helped the car. The 45 machine was fast and Eric did a great job. Eric passed several cars to move to the fourth spot. Eric was closing in on third at the checkers, but couldn't get close enough to mount a challenge. So, fourth it is! That is Eric's best finish with the team! We are very happy with the finish and the overall night. That was a great recovery after our disappointing night at Action Track in our race prior to Hidden Valley. Next scheduled race for the team is Saturday, Aug. 22 at Path Valley. We have not decided which car to take, and we will make that decision by Tuesday. Either way, we feel like we will be taking a very competitive car to Path Valley! Thanks to DL Friese Transportation and Farner's Racing Collectables for the continued support! See you soon!
