🎣PURE NIGHTTIME CHAOS 🌙

Last night was one I won’t forget anytime soon.

My first ever solo muskie… and she just happened to be an absolute PIG. 😳🔥

She may have missed that magic mark, but I couldn’t care less. The size, the fight, the setting, and being out there completely on my own made this one incredibly special.

And of course… Drake had to be there for the moment. 🐕💙

There’s something pretty damn cool about being able to handle the whole process yourself—from putting the fish in the net to getting her measured, photographed, and safely back where she belongs.

Pure muscle, one hell of a night, and a memory I’ll have forever. 🙏

The double nickle solo fish is still out there somewhere…

Some days, it all just comes together. 🎣

Good people.
Good water.
A healthy fish.
And a dog that somehow manages to be in the middle of everything. 😂🐕

These are the days I’m grateful for.

Not every trip ends with a giant Muskie in the net. Some days are tough. Some days you grind all day for one opportunity. And some days… everything just lines up and you get to stand on the back of the boat holding a thick, healthy fish with your best four-legged deckhand watching over your shoulder.

That’s what it’s all about.

The fish are only part of the experience. It’s the laughs, the memories, the people you meet, and the moments on the water that stick with you long after the fish swims away.

And there are still plenty of those moments waiting to be made. 👊

Gabe’s First Muskie! 🎣🔥

Third time’s the charm!

Gabe’s first trip with me back in June was FULL of action — multiple follows, and even a Muskie hooked up that unfortunately came unbuttoned right at the boat. 😩

But he came back for round three and GOT IT DONE! 💪

This thick, healthy fish absolutely crushed a Medusa out on the cast, and Gabe did an awesome job staying calm, working the fish, and getting it all the way to the net. That first Muskie feeling is one you don’t forget!

Couldn’t be happier to see him finally get the fish he’d been chasing. Well deserved, Gabe! 👊

Now the question is… how long until we’re chasing that next one? 😏

There’s nothing quite like watching a big Lake Michigan king crush a jig right below the boat. Hard fights, screaming drags, and some of the most exciting fishing you’ll experience all year! 👊

Day 3 — Another window opens 🎣🔥

Three days on Lake St. Clair with Treigh and Matt, and the lake continued to make us work for every opportunity.

After finally getting Matt his first fish around sunset on day two, we were back at it for day three looking for another window.

Around 6 PM, the wind picked up just enough to put a little more life into the water.

And apparently… that was enough.

Matt made the cast, the fish found his bait out in open water, and just like that—

BOOM.

Another one in the net. 👊🔥

Another beautiful Lake St. Clair Muskie.

Two fish for Matt over the three days, and both came during those short little windows when the conditions finally lined up.

It wasn’t the numbers or the size of fish we had hoped for when Treigh and Matt made the trip out, but that’s the game.

Sometimes you grind all day for one opportunity.

When that window opens, you better be ready.

Huge congrats to Matt on another beautiful fish, and a huge thank you to both Treigh and Matt for spending three days chasing these fish with me.

One more story from this trip still needs to be told… and it’s a little harder to write. 👀🎣

Day 2 — We finally found the window. 🔥🎣

After getting skunked on day one, we headed back out for day two with one thing on our minds…

Find that window.

We started early, put in the hours, and kept grinding. The fish still weren’t exactly making themselves known, but we knew the evening could be different.

As the sun started dropping, everything finally came together.

Around 7:30 PM, with the last light of the day settling in, Matt connected with this beautiful Lake St. Clair Muskie. 👊

After a full day of getting absolutely nothing the day before, this one felt GOOD.

Not the biggest fish in the lake, but every Muskie earned is worth celebrating — especially when you’ve put in the work and waited for that little window to open.

And of course… Drake had to get in on the picture too. 😂

One fish in the net. One more day to go.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings. 🎣🔥
