From owner Jeff Higginson who wants sales in the our park to be transparent & handled by a committee (original post deleted on LG owner’s only page):
So everybody supposedly knows there is three lots for sale. One has been removed from that list. Now only two remains. Sunday the board had a meeting and in the meeting Mike Evan’s put out that he has put in an offer of 10000 for the empty lot on the back hill. My wife Nicole was at meeting and upon finding this out, approached Sarah about list. Sarah’s answer was she doesn’t know where she was on the list. The sale of a share my understanding is inside list of owners. Then to rest of membership then to the outside list. Nicole is suppose to be on the inside list and is a owner in good standing.. We never got notified if we were interested , and I’m not sure about rest of the owners, but we also were not notified that lot went to the outside list. But upon finding Mike Evans had bid 10000, Nicole called Kelley and put in a bid for 11000. I am for the owners to get as much as they can for there lots. We also have two friends on the outside list . And only today got notified that the lot was up for sale and this only after speaking to Sarah. I know this is long but bear with me. Things need to be transparent. Like the list where is it? Where on the list are we currently dealing with. And what’s the bid at, if the owners wants that information out. A lot of work to maintain, but a few people have volunteered to take on. The secretary’s position in the park I would venture to say is a demanding position and time consuming. I am suggesting a committee should handle the sales of lots who is not on the board and would be more available to answer questions and make the transactions more transparent. I have heard from many owners of past sales, that the sales were iffy and possibly shady. I would like the sales going forward to be transparent and in the best interest for the owner selling to make the most money they can. There is talk by board members that they shared too much information and the 10000 dollar bid should have been kept secret. Not only was the bid put in not according to the list. Members of the board are mad that a higher bid was put in benefiting the owner.
