🎉 CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We had dozens & dozens of athletes, young AND old (age not spirit), testing their abilities on Family Day during our 2nd Annual Hit-A-Thon & Skills Challenges this past weekend. Great times & big smiles all around! Through these exciting events, we were able to raise a good chunk of money to invest back into many of the improvements in/around Southern Little League moving forward, so..

Happy Memorial Day!

Thank you all for an amazing start of the season.

Family Day at Southern LL is THE most memorable day of the year for our community. Every team plays that day and games don't matter in the standings. Additionally, we come together to celebrate the success in & out of the dugouts of our team-nominated All Star players in exciting evening games under a fanfare of fireworks.

BUT WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to keep this event special for players, families, and fans all day long.

Each year, we need volunteers to help out with the grill and concessions.

PLEASE see the following Volunteer Sign Up Form and help as you are able. Even a couple hours before &/or after you young players' games can make a big difference in the overall success of the day.

With senior baseball registration closing this week, looking back at some of our past all star teams that had amazing success.

Looking back at the 2018 World Series Team. This team went 13-0 all the way to Easley SC by winning both states and regionals.

This team included a stacked rotation including Myles Beale, Kyle Tepper, Ben Whiteside and Keegan Batka that hosted a 1.05 ERA.

The lineup also was dominant and included Jake Passinault, Billy Bernecker and Robbie Stuursma.

Huge thank you for supporting Southern!

Southern has a LONG history of success in Senior Baseball. We've won 10 state titles and many of the best players on the SE side have played with the majority ending up playing in college. This year, we return a lot of top talent and it should be solid baseball.

Registration is open thru 5/9 for Senior Baseball. We're looking to get to 3 teams. (Drafted and not selected by school or talent levels) Regular season is very short running in the month of June on Monday and Wednesdays primarily with maybe one Saturday morning. It's perfect for summer reps during the week.

2025 Regionals Game 3: Southern (1-1) vs Indiana (1-1)

Southern Loses Despite Out Hitting Indiana

Southern fell 11-9 to Indiana on Tuesday despite out-hitting them 12 to 10. Pablo Alzamora, Brayden Riness, and Noah Hauk each collected 3 hits. The loss eliminates Southern from the Regional tournament.
Southern jumped out to a 5 run lead in the top of the 1st inning after Alzamora doubled, scoring one run, Riness singled, scoring two more runs, Adam Cherveny hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Charles Molenbeek singled, scoring one run.
Indiana answered back on an Andy Murray 3 homerun.
Southern answered back in the 2nd on a Miles Talsma 2 run homerun and added another run on a Talsma sac fly in the 3rd
Indiana answered back on errors to tie the game in the bottom of the 4th.
A single by Noah Hauk gave Southern the lead, 9-8, in the top of the sixth but Indiana answered back with 3 runs of their own.
Southern piled up 12 hits in the game. Talsma provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Southern with three runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Brayden Riness showed the wheels stealing two bases.

Southern’s run comes to an end with the loss to Indiana.

Good morning,

Thank you very much for such an amazing season. It was another great year for Southern on and off the diamonds. We won districts for 11U Baseball, Majors Baseball, 50-70 Baseball and Seniors Baseball. We also won our 10th state championship for Seniors Baseball overtaking Midland for the most wins in the state.

Clean Up Day is coming up where we shut down the fields for the winter and WE COULD USE YOUR HELP

WHEN: NOVEMBER 1ST (Doesn't take long if you have enough people)

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE:
- Batting cages taken down
- Trash bins emptied and moved behind the shed
- Sponsor signs taken down. Good condition signs are kept, any fraying signs thrown away

WHAT DO I NEED?: Cages just need extra hands and people. Sponsor sign help would be great. You just need scissors to clip the zip ties, a plastic bag or two to gather the zip ties to throw away

We welcome anyone willing to help and the more people who can help the faster it goes.
