We are excited to announce that Daimond Dixon has joined Catholic Central as our new Strength & Conditioning Coordinator.
Daimond brings more than 30 years of experience as a sports performance coach and leadership mentor, developing athletes at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional levels. He is the owner of Alpha Human Performance and most recently served as Director of Sports Performance at Grand Rapids Christian Schools, where he spent 16 years overseeing athletic development programs and helping create one of the area's first school-based Leadership-Based Sports Performance classes.
A graduate of Grand Rapids Central High School, Daimond went on to play football at both Grand Valley State University and the University of Miami, where he was a member of the 1991 National Championship team.
Throughout his career, Daimond has been passionate about using athletics and physical education to teach leadership, discipline, character, and personal growth. Whether working with competitive athletes or students in the classroom, he strives to instill a lifelong appreciation for health, wellness, and physical activity - values that align closely with our mission of forming students in mind, body, and spirit.
"I am excited by the opportunity to invest in the lives of the young people at Grand Rapids Catholic Central and to empower them to enhance their God-given talents. Being from Grand Rapids, I recognize the rich tradition of excellence, and Iโm looking to make a positive impact in the Catholic Central Community," says Daimond.
Please join us in welcoming Daimond to the Catholic Central family. We look forward to the impact he will have on our students, athletic programs, and school community in the years ahead.
