#33 Viggo Boston came in from Sweden and completed what we needed in the net, and with him Grand Junction created the best goaltending duo in the NCDC.

"Viggo made his opportunity count here," says Head Coach Dustin Timm, "He came in October as a 3rd and quickly earned his right as a running mate to Simon. Viggo's consistent effort and amazing attitude won the respect of the coaching staff and, more importantly, his teammates. Together, Viggo and Simon took us to the very end. Good luck Viggo Hercules Boston!!"

#33 will be missed on the ice, good luck in your future plans Viggo!

#28 Joey Ziska never stopped working, day in and day out, and truly embodied what it meant to be a River Hawk.

"JZ demonstrated what it means to be a young pro this year. Coming over from Casper in November he did whatever was needed to help the team." says Head Coach Dustin Timm. "He started out on the back end before moving up front in January, because that is what the team needed at the time. His determination and hard work found himself earning a consistent spot in the lineup and positively impacted our run to the Dinnen Cup Championship game. Good luck as you continue your hockey career JZ!"

We're so excited to see where you go next Joey, the River Hawks will miss you!

Grand Junction acquired #27 Noah Lasker at the trade deadline, and we immediately felt his presence.

"Wish we had him all year." said Dustin Timm. "Lassie joined us at the deadline from Rock Springs and instantly brought more depth down the middle of the lineup. His addition made us harder and grittier to play against which, no doubt, had a tremendous impact throughout the playoffs. We wish Lassie the best of luck!"

From one of the toughest guys to play against, to a Grand Junction River Hawk and Mountain Division Champion. Your future is bright Noah!

#26 Rasmus Ruusunen is the definition of making the most of his opportunity here in Grand Junction. Strong, dedicated, and a true team player, on and off the ice.

"He came in and instantly solidified his spot as a top defenseman on this team," said Dustin Timm. "He was able to accomplish a lot as a player because of his tremendous effort and attitude, and willingness to learn and try new things as a player. We wish nothing but the best for Ras."

Good luck to you #26!

Grand Junction knows #19 Sami Kallionkieli on the ice - he is hard to miss with his sharp stick handling and sometimes unimaginable ability to get the puck to his teammates. Many also knew him through , as he served as a consistent player coach for their 12U program.

"Sami was one of our most consistent centers we had all year," says Head Coach Dustin Timm. "His responsibility on the defensive side of the puck allowed him and his linemates to create and score on many opportunities. Moreover, Sami was a great student of the game and brought tremendous attitude, energy and effort every day to the rink. Sami was a big part of setting the standard this first year for the River Hawks. We wish him the best of luck in his career and life!"

Couldn't have said it better, you will be missed in GJ Sami!

An original Grizzly, #17 Rayne Walsh quickly became the backbone of the Grand Junction River Hawks. Rayne's leadership and grind on and off the ice set the standard for what it means to be a River Hawk.

"He is arguably the heart and soul of the team." says Head Coach Dustin Timm. "His attitude, energy and effort never waivered throughout the season. His work in the faceoff dot and on the penalty kill helped us earn a Mountain Division Championship, and we wish nothing but the best in Walshy's future as he continues to earn the accomplishments of his hard work."

Grand Junction will miss you, good luck #17!

#14 Kasper Pohjala was not only a top scorer on the River Hawks, but pushed himself and his teammates to be better every day, ultimately leading us to our first Mountain Division Championship and Dineen Cup appearance.

"Kasper brought an element of compete everyday in practice that a lot of people don't get the opportunity to see," says Coach Timm. "This effort in practice carried over into Fridays and Saturdays, and helped create one of the top scorers in the league. Good luck to Kasper and keep working, the future is bright!"

Good luck Kasper as you continue your hockey journey, you will be missed!

Grand Junction was fortunate to have added #11 Bradley Boniface midway through the season, and after months of building an amazing culture, Boni fit right in. He quickly became a key defensemen in the ice, and amazing supportive player off the ice.

"Boni joined us in late January via trade," says Coach Timm, "and immediately he made his presence felt on the team. His first game (in Utah) he dropped the gloves, and earned the team's respect and trust. From there he grew and got better everyday. Boni's future is bright no matter what that may look like!"

The River Hawks were grateful to be the last leg of Brad's junior hockey career, once a River Hawk, always a River Hawk. Best of luck Boni!!
