Racing is about more than just speed – it’s about friends, family, and unforgettable moments.

Not everyone gets to experience the adrenaline of race day, so I feel incredibly lucky to be back in the driver’s seat – and in a brand new race car, no less! Big thanks to my amazing crew of friends and family for making it happen.

We had a packed and action-filled race weekend that ended on a high note with 34 racers at the start line with smiles. But for me, the true highlight was climbing back into that car.

Jeff and I shared driving duties, while Karen took the reins as navigator on the first lap. Classic Knolls heat in August didn’t hold us back – the car ran flawlessly the entire time. Colten and the team helped with a quck driver change No need for a lake bed stop, although we did sacrifice a brand new number plate to the desert gods. Maybe will hook us up with a replacement?

We did hit a few snags with our comms and navigation systems, but nothing that slowed us down too much.

And the best news? We took home the WIN in the Sportsman Class!

Knolls Race Report

Our experience has been that Knolls can be a place of hardship and bad luck, but sometimes you get lucky.
We had great weather for racing – overcast and cool.
I have to say that the start line was a bit emotional for me here I got to wave the green flag for my own race car. My friend Jeff Bricker started the first lap with sister Karen as the co-driver.
This style of racing is always about overcoming obstacles and making it to the finish and Knolls has been a tough race for our team in the past, broken axels, fried belts, failed injectors, etc. With a true team effort, including a driver and co-driver swap, we were able to finish and get the win in Sportsman. I’m glad we got a finish!
As always, KddR has been about the family and we couldn’t do it with their help. Thanks to all Team KddR! -
