This week’s Whip It Up Saturday features none other than our very own Ivan Galindo — a true Grand Valley local who’s been fishing these waters his entire life! A friend to many of us, a local guide, fish whisperer, and a guy who apparently decided Colorado trout weren’t enough and started chasing saltwater critters too! As a guide in the area and a pivotal part of the crew at Mayfly Outdoors, Ivan knows his way around not only our local waters, but the gear and tools we all know, use and love to make it all happen. Join us this Saturday, March 7th, from 10am - Noon!
Born and raised locally, Ivan’s spent a lifetime fishing these waters. But these days he’s been putting some serious mileage on the fly rod chasing some fun species in the salt — including his most recent back to back redfishing trips!
When he’s not on the water or chasing mule deer with a bow, Ivan is a vital player over at Mayfly Outdoors, meaning if you’ve got questions about Ross or Abel reels, Airflo fly lines, Dyna-King or Renzetti vises, or pretty much anything fly-fishing gear related, he’s your guy!
