🚨 WE’RE HIRING! Part-Time U-Haul & Shop Assistant – Colorado Mountain Rentals (Denver) 🚨
Colorado Mountain Rentals is looking for a dependable person to join our small team! We're looking for someone to help with U-Haul rentals, customer service, and general shop duties.
This is a great fit for someone looking for steady, part-time work in a casual environment. You'll help customers as they come in and keep things running smoothly around the shop.
💰 Pay: $19.50/hour
📅 Hours: Approximately 24 hours per week
🗓️ Schedule: Flexible scheduling, but weekend work may be required depending on business needs
📍 Location: Our shop in Denver
🔧 What You'll Be Doing
The main priority is keeping the shop staffed and handling U-Haul rentals as customers arrive. During slower periods, you'll help with general shop duties and keep our rental equipment ready to go.
Responsibilities include:
• Handling U-Haul truck and trailer pickups and returns
• Greeting customers, answering questions, and processing rental transactions
• Completing check-in/check-out procedures and documenting equipment condition
• Performing basic walk-around inspections of trucks and trailers and reporting damage or maintenance issues
• Keeping U-Haul trucks, trailers, and parking areas clean and organized
• Assisting with trailer hookups and equipment setup when needed
• Cleaning and organizing ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, trailers, and other rental equipment
• Helping prepare rental equipment for customer pickups and returns
• Answering phones and assisting with customer service
• Keeping the shop clean, organized, and presentable
• Handling basic shop tasks and odd jobs as needed
✅ Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
• Reliable and dependable — showing up on time and consistently working scheduled shifts is essential.
• Self-motivated — able to stay productive during slower periods without constant supervision.
• Friendly and customer-oriented — comfortable helping customers and handling rental transactions.
• Hands-on — comfortable working around trucks, trailers, and powersports equipment.
• Organized and detail-oriented — able to follow checklists and document equipment condition.
• Comfortable with technology — able to use a computer or smartphone for rental transactions and communication.
No professional mechanic experience is required! We're looking for someone with common sense, a good work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Basic mechanical or trailer experience is a plus, but reliability and a good attitude are our biggest priorities.
