I love this! Who said you have to give up your passion due to advanced age - or even bad hips! Are they speed demons? No but, even at 90, they are moving more and faster than the average American! Plus they are doing a high impact sport that is great for their bones, and muscles and challenging their speed, power and hearts. All of which is great for longevity, endurance and maintaining their balance - stuff that declines a lot as we age.

It has been a while since I have posted! It has been a crazy busy new year with some amazing new opportunities that have proven to be very time consuming. As such, I just wanted to drop in and leave a thought tidbit.
As people are rapidly falling off the new year weight loss band wagon, realize that there is no one "perfect" diet - try out different ones and see what you can stick to the best - but all good dietary guidelines follow some basic "rules" or nutritional fundamentals.

-Emphasize whole foods
-Get enough high quality protein
-Eat lots of vegetables
-Prioritize high nutrition density
-Eat slowly until satisfied
-Avoid processed foods
