In the scuba industry we get locked into courses. We sell our agencies course material and information, because that is just what we do.

At Mikes Affordable Scuba we have an additional idea that may help you. Traditionally in the scuba industry if you are having trouble we offer you a Peak Performance Buoyancy course or a Refresher course. Are they helpful? Naturally of course they are.

Mike's Affordable Scuba does offer these courses. But we also offer one on one coaching. Maybe you dont want to relearn a bunch of skills. Maybe you dont need to thread a hulahoop. Maybe you just need to feel more comfortable. Or overcome a fear. Or simply polish off you mask clearing skills. Either way if you dont need a full course, we can help. We are here to guide you and have a staff of instructors, and Divemasters to do it.

Basic advice is always free. We wont charge you to stand around the water cooler and talk shop. But we want this to be Affordable. So, we charge about what renting a Divemaster would cost per hour. $50 for dry on land coaching. $100 in the pool and $125 in open water. And dont forget to tip your hard working DM.

As we always say, we didn't get into scuba for money. We got into diving to share scuba with others. We care about happy divers. We want you to love scuba as much as we do, so we are always here to help.

To my Scuba friends! Mikes Affordable Scuba will be attending DEMA this year in New Orleans. We are looking forward to talking scuba with anyone who attends. The trade show is rapidly approaching so we want you to know we will be there from November 3rd to November 6th. We will be spending a considerable amount of time in seminars. But we look forward to the experience and seeing you all face to face again.

Have a look at this video. This is a very serious safety hazard. It is not just a entanglement hazard. This guy shot up so fast it almost guaranteed gave him the bends. Maybe not seriously. Fortunately it was only about 20 ish feet. But it very well can be deadly. Even at 20 feet. In fact it can happen in as little as 6 foot of water.

Dont dismiss this. Accidents happen. So practice good risk management. Before it is to late.

We have some family members who will be taking the class in a few months.

I got too excited and ordered them a full reg set and BCD. Ordered them E Learning. Didn't even ask. Just did it.

I have been diving for quite a while. Not every dive is thrilling. But sharing scuba with someone eager always makes me happy. 😃

We are going to kick that lakes ass!

What's new:
Ready for iOS and watchOS 27 – Fully tested on iOS 27 and watchOS 27, with small visual and usability refinements throughout.
Multi-device dive logs – Dives recorded on your Apple Watch Ultra, iPhone, and up to two dive computers are now merged into a single dive log. You can choose which device to use as the source for each dive.
Settings that follow you – Your dive settings now sync across all your devices through your account. Changes made offline are resolved automatically.
Photo editor upgrades – Faster color correction, batch editing, accurate video cover images, improved rotation handling for HEIF and RAW files, and GPS location tags for your photos and videos.
Dive Housing fix – Resolved an issue where Dive Housing buttons could stop responding after standby.

We are still evaluating the fit of the new iPhones in the Dive Housing. We will update you with more information soon.
