Well this is most certainly the most difficult race report I've ever had to make but want to make sure everyone in our amazing racing community knows. Sadly my mother lost her battle with cancer yesterday, she was surrounded by her family and friends as she peacefully left us to go be in heaven. To say I will miss her is quite the understatement, she has always been my biggest fan and number one supporter ever since we got started all the way back in go karts. I was very fortunate to be able to talk with her and be beside her on Friday at the hospital but she was adamant that we go to Viking Speedway on Saturday to battle for the track championship. So we did just that and I gave it all I had to get it done for her and I'm so glad that I was able to do it. I truly believe that she battled so hard to keep going just so she could see me claim my first track title at Viking Speedway, we did have some other family members at the hospital and said it was a pure joy to see the smile on her face when I crossed the checkered flag to claim the title.

Rest in peace to the best mother I could have ever asked for and I hope to keep making you proud behind the wheel of a racecar for many years to come. Also enjoy these photos of her last racetrack sunset photo she was able to take and also the last time she watched a race in person which happened to be one of our wins this season. I will love her forever and so will so many of her family and close friends. ♥️🪽

8/20 at KRA Speedway and 8/21 at Fiesta City Speedway Race Report

Sorry for the late post but it's been a busy couple of days. I definitely struggled a little in KRA on Thursday but after doing some checking I think we had a bad set of tires. I ran those same ones Friday in the heat as well and knew I needed to throw those away after that race. I lined up 8th for the feature in Monte last Friday and was pleasantly surprised with how well the race went. I was able to move up to 5th after a handful of laps, and then really made some progress once we got a restart. I went from 5th to 2nd on the restart and was able to hold onto the spot after a close and fun battle with Ryan Satter.

The plan for this week is to run KRA tomorrow, Fiesta City on Friday, and then of course Viking on Saturday to try and chase our first track championship there!

8/14 at Fiesta City Speedway and 8/15 at Viking Speedway Race Report

Overall last weekend was pretty good, I don't feel like there's a lot that I could've done differently to improve my results. It was a little bit of a bummer to lose some valuable points in the feature on Saturday, but it should set up a pretty exciting finale for the season championship. I currently have a 1 point lead over Trevor Saurer and look forward to battling it out with him in a little over a week. The plan for this weekend is to race KRA tomorrow and then Fiesta City on Friday, hopefully we can finish the regular season strong at our regular tracks!

8/7 at Fiesta City Speedway and 8/8 at Viking Speedway Race Report

I started the weekend off in Montevideo with a little bit of a challenging heat race, the car felt good but traffic was a little tough to navigate. I luckily I caught a few breaks at the end though and was able to snag a 2nd place finish. I rolled off fourth for the feature and ran in second place most of the race, I thought I had something for the leader but stayed up on the high side way too long waiting for him to make a mistake. Congrats to Zach Schultz on the win. Then on Saturday I was decent in the heat race but not great, the track was dirty and I unfortunately just can't quite figure out how to make good speed on a dirty racetrack. I was lucky enough to start on the pole for the feature though and found a good line running the high side in turns 1 and 2, and then the low side in turns 3 and 4. I had a challenge on a late race restart from Travis Scott and was fortunate that I was able to fend him off, it felt great to go back to back at Viking Speedway and I am very happy with how fast the car is right now. Also have to say thanks to Travis Scott for the clean racing when things got a little close in turns 3 and 4, I know he wants a win at Viking pretty bad and I'm sure it's coming soon.

7/30 at KRA Speedway, 7/31 at I-94 EMR Speedway, and 8/1 at Viking Speedway Race Report

I started off the weekend on a high note with winning my heat race from the pole and redrew the 8th starting spot for the feature. Unfortunately the rain showed up before we could make it out there for the feature so we'll run that race at a later date. Then moving onto Friday I did not have a good draw for the heat race, I started 7th and was only able to make it up to 5th which lined me up 13th for the feature. The car felt good in the feature but I just felt jammed up in traffic for most of the race, I was decently happy with being able to move up four spots though and come home with a clean racecar. Finally on Saturday I got some luck back at the draw window. I started pole in the heat race and was battling for the lead but ended up hitting a massive hole that upset my car and relegated me back to a 3rd place finish. I was lucky enough to start outside pole in the feature though and took advantage of it by leading every lap and scoring my third win of the season. The car was just right for the track last night and I felt right at home flying around the high side of Viking Speedway again.
