There are races... and then there are WKA Grand Nationals.
This date has been on the 2026 WKA schedule since it was first released, and with the tremendous success of both the WKA Commonwealth National Karting Series and the WKA Regional Championship Series, which have produced strong kart counts, outstanding racing, and tremendous support from racers and families throughout the region, we are excited to begin turning our attention toward the WKA Grand National. With all Dirt Roads leading to Daytona International Speedway for Kartweek.
On September 12th, the WKA Grand National and the WKA Regional Championship Series come together at the always race-ready The Tri County Kartway in Kenly, NC for a special event featuring both Regional and Pro competition on the same day.
The Commonwealth Series has produced outstanding racing, strong kart counts, and competitors traveling from multiple states, while the Regional Championship Series has continued to provide racers with a competitive, affordable, and racer-focused program. Bringing those same racers together with our Pro competitors for the WKA Grand National creates an opportunity for a truly special event.
This event is built around what WKA stands for — opportunities for everyone. Whether you're chasing a Regional Championship, competing for a Grand National title, or simply looking for a great place to race, this event is designed for racers of all levels.

Throughout the year, racers have opportunities to compete at WKA events, but there is only ONE WKA Grand National Championship.
