These are pictures of our students from last weekends in West Virginia tournament.

We are so proud of all our student’s, they have been working so hard and improving with every class. We are so happy for them that their hard work shows when they compete in tournaments. We are so grateful our students have been rewarded for their hard work! They all deserve what they earned.

Since the tournament several karate schools instructors and students have contacted us expressing how impressed they were of our students! How cool is that! This is such a good feeling knowing that others see all their hard work! This brings us joy!

Congratulations to all our students that participated in the tournament. Thank you also to all of our senseis that helped with our students over last couple years. We really appreciated you all!

Overall results from tournament -
7 students competed last Saturday and these are the places they took in their divisions.
Fifteen first places
Four 2nd places
One 3rd place
Two 4th places

Congratulations Cathleen Lerew for earning your black belt on Friday December 9, 2022.

You are a kind, dedicated, hard working student with a heart for karate. With all the changes in the world we know it hasn’t been easy however you persevered and achieved the goal you set for yourself. We are very proud of you and fortunate to be a part of your journey.

Cathleen is the first female student promoted to black belt by Grand Master Bucky Norman. What an achievement for both Cathleen and GM Norman. I know Cathleen is grateful for everything GM has taught her and for helping her achieve black belt. I am so proud of you both!

We also want to thank all of our black belt students for helping Cathleen become a true student of Isshinryu.

I am grateful you are my best friend and karate student. I am thankful God gave Bucky and me the opportunity to teach you what we love. We are happy you are part of our journey also.

On the night of Cathleens promotion we received a personal letter from her stating “I am beyond grateful for all your knowledge and patience. I appreciate the highs and understand the lows. I see now more then ever before this is a life-long journey and I am super excited to see what the future holds. Thank you for following Gods calling to open a karate school. Because of your heart to listen and follow, I have something that truly challenges me physically, mentally and emotionally…..something I truly love. I am blessed to love the sport and have friends who love, care, guide and teach me. God works in mysterious ways! I consider my time learning from you a blessing. Thank you for being amazing Sensei’s”

Thank you Cathleen for the beautiful letter with words spoken from your heart, this means a lot to us. We feel grateful knowing listening to Gods will has influenced you and many others in a positive way. God has truly blessed GM Norman and me with Cathleen and all of our amazing students we have taught over the years. We are the ones truly blessed!

Congratulations to Donald for being promoted to Black in March of this year. Very much deserved! He is a dedicated, kind and helpful student. We are so grateful he’s apart of our karate family. We are blessed to know him.

Congratulations to Amy and Noah for being promoted to green belts. Everyone has worked very hard to get their promotions. So proud of each and everyone of them. These are some of our most dedicated students. Keep up the hard work.

Self-Defense Classes starting this Sunday March 6th.

Every Sunday 10am - 11am.

Price is $70 per person per month.

Classes are an hour long sometimes they go over the hour depending on what self-defense the class is learning.
