Sorry, I've tried to close this page out due to non-supportive drivers in our area. Most would not join unless I could get a race date for Lincoln Speedway. Back then, I had spoke with Don Lieby on at least (3) three occassions. I was told that after they set their schedule for the season, he would contact me and set something up. Needless to say, he lied to me several times, so therefore, I refuse to spend anymore time on the matter...Sorry...

Due to the lack of support and lies from our local drivers and (1) certain track owner at Lincoln Speedway, I will NO longer pursue anything for FWD Extreme's. Although, I would like to Thank Selinsgrove, Sussquehanna, Trail-way, and El Dora Speedways for their interest in supporting us. We've left the Front Wheel Drive Division and moved up, Good Luck to my son, J.J. on his new adventure !!!

Well, it's racing season for the Front Wheel Drive Divisions this weekend if the weather permits us to run. Trail-way opens Friday & Sussky opens Saturday. I've worked long & hard to get things set up for you, the drivers, in the past year. I came up with this idea in May of 2013 and supposedly have about 50 drivers interested, but only (5) who came forward to show their support and join. Just like with anything else, strenght is in the numbers. Lack of strenght & numbers will get you no where & nothing. Most of you say you were holding off until we got a date for Lincoln. Well, when you go to Lincoln to watch the races, be sure to stop by the office and Thank Don Lieby for screwing us around and telling me a bunch of lies. His word is not worth the time it takes to speak it. I'm sorry if I sound a little harsh, but I don't appreciate being lied to when I've got so many people depending on me. As of now, I've got things working with Trail-way, Susquehanna, Selinsgrove, and Eldora Speedways And would like to THANK them for their support. Our division is a huge amount of participating people, from the drivers, owners, sponsors, fans, family, etc., etc. We do generate alot of money for any track we go to and for any track to ignore us is their loss, so be it. This weekend I plan to be at Trail-way & Sussky, so if your interested in joining "FWD EXTREME'S", stop by our pit. We're in turn (2) next to the bleachers at Trail-way and turn (3) at Sussky. RACE CLEAN & BE SAFE !!! See YOU AT THE RACES !!!

"UPDATE"----It's been a month now with several calls made and some with no return calls. What a way to run a business, GEEZ !!!
After (3) conversations with Don Lieby, who said they were interested and would contact me and never did, Lincoln is a "NO". Contacted Williams Grove today, they are booked solid. Called and waiting to hear back from Selinsgrove. They would like to set something up now that I have spoken with them. Also called Eldora, they would like to set something up for August. Need their replies A.S.A.P. so I can get our schedule done...

Well, I've contacted Lincoln & Williams Grove today. Now we'll wait and see who returns my call. I really would like one of these tracks to step up for the (3) track shoot-out. If either one does, then I can work out our schedule, if not, then I'll decide which way to go from here....

Okay, I've contacted (6) Tracks on (3) different dates this month. As of right now, Trail-Way, Sussquehanna, & Selinsgrove are interested. Eldora, I've been leaving messages with, but apparently when their closed, they are closed period. Hagerstown's office personnel called me back, I've left Rick Jones several messages & haven't heard anything back. As for Lincoln, I've talked with Don Lieby 3 different times & he was interested, but I was to wait till they had their schedule completed. I've called the Track & the office in Carlisle and left messages, just waiting to hear back from the last 3 Tracks I mentioned. If I don't hear back from these tracks, I can't wait any longer. I'm going to go with the tracks that have showed interest and possibly try some others. It takes alot of time and phone calls to put this all together and time is running down quickly. Any POSITIVE INPUT is appreciated,,,Thank You...

For those of you who are interested in joining, post a picture of your racecar for the public to view. This may also help in getting sponsors for you & "FWD EXTREME'S" events. Hello, while most of you are getting ready for the up-coming season. I've been busy getting things together & making calls to the tracks. Yesterday I called several tracks, some, I spoke with, others, I had to leave a message, those, I'll be calling back Wed. or Thurs. Lincoln-I had to leave a message to make an appt...Eldora-Was closed due to blizzard like conditions...Hagerstown-Left a message...Trail-Way-Is interested, Spoke with Perry in detail & he was quite helpful. Once I have everything in order, I'm to discuss it with Brad...Sussquehanna-Is interested, Talked with Todd previously, but called again to go over some things, left a message...Selinsgrove- Is interested, now that I've talked with them. At first they said they weren't having a FWD race this season, will be talking with them soon to set something up. Hopefully they don't change their minds back to not having an event...That's all I can tell ya's for now, so be patience, & get those cars ready. We'll be racing before you know it...Thank You & See Ya at the Track...

Hello Again,,,Well, the Racing is officially over for 2013. But I'm working on a few things for the 2014 season. Still in comunication with other tracks, some we're in, & others, I'm waiting for the scheduling. When it's final, I'll let you know !!! Seems there are quite a few holding off to see if I get "FWD EXTREME'S" into (1) particular track. "FWD EXTREME'S" is not about (1) track... Several of you race at several different tracks as it is, & this would be just adding another track to your list of possibilities. There are a few things that need to be taken care of & without the proper membership, those things won't happen very fast. When I approach a track & tell them I have about 50+ drivers interested, but only (5) signed up & paid, that doesn't show your support at all. I can't, & won't make promises to possible parties that are interested without your support. I'm doing my part & then some, now it's your turn. Membership fee is $12.00 per year, break it down, that's $1.00 per month. you give more than that for a tip at a restaurant or bar. So, could you PLEASE, think about the possibilties that are waiting & send or drop off your membership fee to: John Shorb Sr.

Now, on the down side of things. Most of you know or have heard I underwent a total of (22) surgeries within the past (2) yrs. on my stomach & chest. They've finally gotten things straightened out, or at least I hope & feel they did. Now, as of last week I've been diagnosed with, Degenerative Disc, C-spine, 6 & 7, and Epicondylitis Lateral. In short, it means, I'm more than likely retiring from behind the wheel or face the chance of being paralyzed or worse. O no !!! I'm not giving it up !!! I fought long & hard thru the last (2) yrs. & there's still fight in me. To break it down for you, I'll have more time to work on "FWD EXTREME'S" and help out my son's & hopefully be around when my daughter gets behind the wheel. As of yesterday, my son J.J., is buying me out, and we pulled car #1 into the shop. After #1, comes #2 and #3. Here's to all of you who have helped & stood behind me over the many, many years of racing,,,THANK YOU & THANK YOU AGAIN !!!
