🛞Jefferson Speedway Championship Night from Carter’s Driver Seat 🛞

🌧️Rain delayed our night. We got one practice session in and then qualified at 7 pm so we were very behind schedule.

⏱️Qualified 7th out of 23
It wasn’t a bad qualifying time only a tenth off my normal times.

🔥Heat 3 finished 5th
Got in a little fender bender going into turn one on the first lap, but the car was ok and I continued the race. Dad had to use the hammer to get the door to open because the running board was stuck up.

💚Feature finished 5th
It was crazy race with a couple of close calls, and a couple of good cone choices got me towards the front where I was able to just follow the leaders to the finish line.

I ended the season in 4th place overall. 🏆

🌅What a great night to end the 2026 Memorial Go Kart Season! 🏁🏎️

💜 Bella did an amazing job in the Purple Division!

🧡 Carly placed 4th Overall in the Orange Division!

❤️ C**t placed 4th Overall in the Red Division!

🖤 Carter spent the season mentoring the team and drove the Pace Kart during the last two races!

It was such a great year with Bella, C**t, and their parents as part of our team. We’re so thankful for all the memories and fun we had throughout the season! 😍

Now we’re already looking forward to the 2027 season! 🏁💪🏻

Championship Night Round 1 is this Saturday night brought to you by University of Wisconsin Whitewater College of Business and Economics. Champions will be crowned in Legends, Bandits, Bandoleros, and Six Shooters. Late models will also be on the ticket with only 20 points separating 1st and 2nd with 2 weeks remaining.

The breakdown.
Slater Racing Legends - Dillion Schwanbeck leads Cael Slater by just 2 points!
PJ’s Painting Bandits - Nick Schmidt leads Nick Newton by 77 points.
Slater Racing Bandoleros - Harley Johnson leads Oliver Weinkauf by 134 points
Zac Racing Six Shooters - Gracie Flanagan leads Jeff Graf by 97 points.

🛞Recap from Carter’s Driver Seat 🛞

➡️ Friday - Madison International Speedway

It was the championship night and it was an exciting one!!

⏱️Qualified 4th out of 13

🔥Heat Finished 5th out of 6

💚3rd in the feature, I was glad that there was a caution at the end so that I was able to get right up front by taking the outside and following the leaders.

‼️Finished the Season 3rd Points at Madison!

➡️ Saturday - Marshfield Motor Speedway

⏰Qualified 16 out of 28 and I was only is .487 slower than the fastest cars so it was a very tight field.

🔥Won Heat 2, I managed to bring the car from the back to the front in the heat race without any problems. 🎉🏁

💜Feature started 8th row outside and finished 12th out of 20. It was a long race without cautions meaning the field in front of me was able to pull away so I was stuck by myself for a while. It was still a fun race battling the cars for each position at such a fast track.

3 Days of Racing 💪🏻 from Carter’s Driver Seat

💚Golden Sands - Qualified 12th out of 19

Heat 🔥
Started inside front row and finished 3rd. It was a fun battle with Bentley going around on the outside and making it stick for so many laps.

Finished 11th in the feature.
Clean race just really fast cars out there, it was only my second time at the track this year so the finish wasn’t bad.

💜Jefferson - Qualified 10th out of 22

3rd in the Heat, I almost had the heat win but a caution came out and I couldn’t stick it to the bottom and the other cars went under me.

Feature finished 6th out of 18, it was a crazy race with plenty of cautions, but I made it through the race driving clean and driving patiently.

🖤Slinger Championship night - I came into the night in 2nd place and ended up in 3rd overall.

Qualified 4th out of 17

🔥Heat 7th, I didn’t want to risk anything for the feature so when the cars in front of me were driving crazy I just stayed to the back.

Feature finished 3rd, it was a good race the start went well for me and I was keeping up with the leaders but when lapped traffic came around they held me up for a couple of laps making me loss a lot of ground on the drivers in front of me.

In the end ,the race weekend went well, I had fun driving the pace kart at Slinger for the Memorial Go Karts, and I’m ready for the next weekend coming up.

What a great way to wrap up another season with Memorial Go-Kart! 💜🧡❤️

🧡 C**t had an AMAZING year in the Red Division and finished the Feature in 1st Place! 🥇 Way to go, C**t!

❤️ Carly had a great night in the Orange Division too, bringing home a 3rd Place finish in the Feature!
🥉 Great job, Carly!

💜 Bella helped kick off the night by saying the Pledge of Allegiance 🇺🇸during Opening Ceremonies. She is always looking for ways to help and is constantly making sure the next teammate is ready to get out on the track. 🥰

🏎️ Carter was doing double duty all night! He drove the Pace Kart for each of the divisions, making sure everyone got around the track safely, and then jumped right back into his Legend car to race.

Talk about a busy night! 💪🏻

We are so proud of all of these kids and love watching them support, encourage, and learn from each other. The Parents jumping in to make sure all the safety equipment is on and everyone is ready for their race.
