Jefferson Speedway Recap 6/6 from Carter’s Driver Seat 🛞

💚In practice, the car was really slow as was it for everyone so we just had to keep working on the car for the rest of the day and came in 5th with a 15.508

⏱️In qualifying, we got 5th out of 16

🔥In the heat race, all I was trying to look for was to see if the car needed any adjustments for the feature and just not wreck and ended with 3rd out of 8.

💜In the feature, I started very far back in the field due to the invert and the car felt good to begin with but as the race went on it got really loose to the point were I could barely hold on to it but I was able to keep it under control and Bring home 8th.

🖤In the end it was a good day other than breaking my earbuds right before going out for the feature but I can’t for wait for next week to get back In the car at Jefferson speedway again.

Weekend Recap from Carter’s driver seat 🛞

Dells
It was my first time there in a Legend so we were just there to try the track and make it to the next day of racing at slinger.

🧭Qualified p10 out of 13

🔥P2 in his heat. Started behind the invert for the feature in 10th. Invert was 8.

💚Feature finished 10th, I backed off during the feature so that I wouldn’t get caught up in any wrecks but I kept on the tail of everyone in front of me.

Slinger Super Speedway
It was our first race of the season there so I was super exited to be back at the track.

🧭Qualified 5th out of 15

🔥Won the fastest heat, in the heat I started 3rd and got the lead after the first two or three laps and never looked back as I crossed the finish line. 🏁

💜In the feature I started 6th and it was going great to begin with, running the fastest lap of the race then a caution came out and they sent me to the pits because the Bumper tab broke and to put a new one one put me down 5 laps.
Then as soon as I got on the track a Big caution happened so I was able to get right back up with the pack. And then in the race we were able to avoid the big wreck on the back stretch because I was able to see it ahead of me and stomp on the breaks. We ended up Finishing 11th place with no damage but a broken bumper tab so it was a win.

🩷Also thanks to my dad for bringing us to the track early so that we could dial the car in for the fastest car that I have ever had at slinger speedway.

💓One last thing, that win was for you Grandma Mary, you were my BIGGEST fan and I was so proud to be able to win a race for you over the weekend after finding out that you passed on Saturday. Miss you Grandma Mary 🥺

💔 We have some sad news to share.

Carter's Grandma Mary passed away this past Saturday.

She was always so proud that Carter was a racer. During her high school years, she spent many nights at State Park Speedway in Wausau watching races. How special that Carter was able to race at State Park before it closed and even earn Rookie of the Year in his Bandolero.
Grandma Mary loved watching Dave Marcis and Dale Earnhardt race in NASCAR, so you could say racing was in her blood.

We apologize for being late on posting updates from our races at Wisconsin Dells on Saturday and Slinger on Sunday. I know you all understand. We will share those soon.

We are incredibly proud of Carter's determination to continue racing after learning that his Grandma was no longer with us here on earth. We know she is now his guardian angel riding along with him on every lap. 💞Andy has pushed through as well, knowing his mother-in-law loved racing just as much as the Stein Family does. A BIG Thank you to Aunt Sherry for getting Grandma Mary to a bunch of races over the last few years 😍

❤️Thank you to our racing family for the love, support, prayers, and kindness you've shown us during this difficult time. Losing the heart of our family tree is not easy, but we are grateful to have such an amazing community standing beside us.

Madison international speedway and Jefferson speedway recap from Carter’s drivers seat. 🛞

💪🏻At Madison during practice I had a good car placed decently high up In the standings and I had to relearn the track due to not being at the track racing for over a year.

⏰During qualifying I got 5th so not bad but during both of my laps I spun the tires down the front stretch screwing up both of my laps.

🔥Then in the heat I started 4th and I finished 2nd and i was getting close to catching Bentley but I couldn’t get there in time to make the pass.

🖤In the feature at Madison I started 7th and finished 4th, it was a tough race for me because I was stuck in heavy traffic but once I got out I was able to quickly catch 3rd but not in time before the race ended.

💪🏻Then practice at Jefferson speedway I was excited to get on track I was feeling really fast and In the end I got 4th with a 15.3.

⏰In qualifying it was terrible for me the car was way too tight so I slowed down quite a bit and ended up 8th with a 15.7.

🔥For the heat then we made a big adjustment in the car to loosen me up and it worked I ended up winning the heat from 3rd place and drove it away.

🖤Then in the feature I was ready for it but then we heard we would be after the supers so we were unsure if the car would handle as we thought but it worked in the end. I started 3rd and right after the first 5 laps I was out front leading the race with a super fast and good handling car until about ten to go but I never left the leaders bumper until the lapped traffic came up.

In the end the two day weekend was a long one with a lot of fun and I can’t thank my mom and dad enough for videoing the races and helping figure out what adjustments to make, and I can’t forget about my Sponsors. They do so much for me so that I can do what I love. ❤️
