Brunswick Sport Triples

Brunswick Sport Triples Hdcp Sport league bowls Thu nights in the fall/winter season at 6:45p. Mixed league, 3 bowlers/team These patterns are SUPPOSED to play hard.

The Brunswick Sport Triples league is New England's longest-running winter SportBowling league. Starting as a doubles league in 2003, this season marks the league's 23rd consecutive year of offering bowlers an alternative to the modern out-of-control scoring environment that does little to prepare bowlers for the tournament season and tougher lane conditions. Contrary to the beliefs of many, this

league is NOT just for bowling's elite bowlers. While it is true that the higher-average bowlers may have more to gain from bowling on tougher patterns - in part due to their skill level and work ethic - new and/or handicap bowlers have plenty to gain from this type of league also. Will bowling in this league turn a 180 average bowler into a 220 average? Highly doubtful ... not unless you're some kind of bowling prodigy. What you get out of this league will be exactly what you put into it. If all you do is complain, don't expect much of an ROI... so check your attitude at the door. Your average IS going to take a hit ... quite possibly, a big one. But that's NOT why you're joining this league, right? You're joining for reasons like:

o Teaching yourself to stay calm and focused when lanes are tough
o Teaching yourself the value of spares, and how to shoot them
o Teaching yourself to play different parts of the lane
o Teaching yourself to keep your head steady and see your target
o Teaching yourself to repeat shots

And even if you are NOT in it to improve your game, here's a little-known fact for you competitive handicap bowlers out there... SportBowling leagues provide better competition for you. Despite having a handicap, a stacked team of 220 average bowlers on a typical house shot has a huge advantage. The difference between their averages and an "average" bowler's average could be up to 40-50 pins per bowler, easy. Put those same two teams in a SportBowling league, and the gap shrinks - usually quite significantly - helping to level the playing field. So if you're competitive and you're thinking "I'm not good enough for that league," think again. The Brunswick Sport Triples leagues bowls Thursday nights at 6:45pm. We typically start in late August and bowl 34-36 weeks, depending on holidays. The league is split into three equal-length rounds, each featuring Sport patterns of varying lengths that are drawn at random before the start of the season. Patterns from several bowling organizations are included in the lottery, including:

o PBA
o PWBA
o Kegel
o USBC OC
o USBC Masters
o USBC Queens
o US Open
o US Women's Open

Each round consists of three different oil patterns split into 3- or 4-week blocks: 1 short pattern, 1 long and 1 medium. The league has several jackpots - some scratch, some handicap:

o Progressive Jackpot
o Mystery Score Jackpot
o High scratch game of the week
o High scratch series of the week
o High hdcp game of the week
o High hdcp series of the week
o $100 Match Point Champions Roll-Off (Hdcp)
o $100 SportBowler of the Year Roll-Off (Scratch)
o $100 SportBowling Team Championship

2025-26 BST SPORTBOWLING TEAM CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the GloboGym Purple Cobras, this year's SportBowling Team Champions! Sadly for the Cobras, there was no monetary reimbursement to go along with the title of Team Champions - that money was rolled into this year's inaugural Team Championships tournament. Still, to finish the season with the best overall record is no small feat, at the Cobras can be proud of that mark. Pictured left is team anchor Barry Meehan, with Bobby Lafosse in the upper right and Tom Clukay in the right corner of the screen. Congratulations, Cobras!

NATE PURCHES, 2025-26 BST GARDNER TEN PINS SPORTBOWLER OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Nate Purches on capturing the 2025-26 GTP SportBowler of the Year title. Nate took on fellow qualifiers Mike Puzo and Tom Brown in a close-fought low-scoring battle, with all 3 bowlers entering the 10th frame still with a chance to win.

Purches entered the 10th with a slight advantage, but both he and Tom Brown were working on doubles, and Puzo had a strike up in the 9th as well. But when Purches failed to strike in the 10th, neither Brown nor Puzo were able to capitalize on the opportunity, and just like that, the 2025-26 average leader had earned the SBOTY title... and the nice little $100 bonus that goes with it.

Congratulations Nate, on a well-earned victory - can't wait to see you again in 2026-27!

KERRI WARREN, 2025-26 BST D.R. POULIN MATCH POINTS CHAMPION!
Congratulations to Kerri Warren on capturing this year's D.R. Poulin Match Points Championship! After she and teammate Matt Rivard captured the Brunswick PWBA Round title a few minutes earlier, Kerri capped her night off with the best game of her long SportBowling career, winning the roll-off in runaway fashion.

Warren opened her match with a double before tugging a shot high for a 3-6-10 that she subsequently spared. Warren then caught fire, throwing the next 7 strikes in a row before leaving a 6-pin in the 11th frame, finishing with 266 scratch/316 handicap.

Joining Warren in the rolloff were GTP round champ Matt Rivard and Tommy Pelham, who finished runner-up in the D.R. Poulin round, jumping in when Justin Hart pulled out with a minor back injury.

Kerri earned a $100 paycheck for her championship win.

BRUNSWICK PWBA ROUND CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to Kerri Warren, Anthony O'Leary and Matt Rivard, who earned the title of Brunswick PWBA Round champions for 2025-26! The "IACF" join D.R. Poulin round champs "Average Joes" and GTP round champs "WolfPac" in the trifecta of champions for 2025-26!

With the "GloboGym Purple Cobras" entering the final week of the round well-entrenched in 1st place, it was seemingly going to take a miracle for anyone to overtake them... but with the Cobras only mustering 3 points on the night bowling against the hottest team in the league that night, the "Pinfall Wizards", the door was left open, and IACF took advantage with a 12-8 win over the "Lucky Rollers" to leapfrog the Cobras for the title. Congratulations, IACF!

WEEK 34 MYSTERY SCORE DRAWING...
Here we go... the final mystery score draw of the season!
To fill in the lack of details from this week's video due to final week time constraints, 21 bowlers entered the Progressive this week with no hits, bringing the total to start the 2026-27 season up to $772. There were 30 entries in this week's Mystery Score, should one lucky bowler match this week's draw. And with that said, let's get to our final drawing of the season!
