What do we do when we have THREE weeks off from kart racing?!

Of course we go and watch some racing! 😎🔥

Our three week break from the kart track means we headed to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for some NASCAR Craftsman Truck and Whelen Modifieds on Saturday and then cheered on our favorite drivers at the cup race on Sunday. We got FOUR autographs & memories of a lifetime!
Congrats to Ryan Blaney on his win! 🏁

This weekend we will be attending the legendary Oxford 250 while next weekend (Labor Day weekend) we will be camping at Wiscasset Speedway for the Boss Hogg 150! 😮‍💨

Just because we’re not behind the wheel doesn’t mean we’re taking a break from racing! 🏎️💨😉

It was simply "one of those days" last Sunday at LST Motorsports Park where we ended up with a lot of torn up karts at the end of the day, but the Mainely Karting team worked diligently to put on the best show possible and amongst the chaos and carnage, there was some great racing (and sportsmanship) on display throughout the program, which was presented by Coastal Auto Parts.

Owen Wright pulled it off over multi-time winner Hudson Childs in the Box Stocks, with the top 3 drivers putting on a show and finishing within an impressive .259 seconds of each other.

Cole Talon was the big winner on the day, scoring two dominant victories in both the Jr. Sportsman and Sportsman Champ divisions.

Victor Parker snagged another one in the Masters Champ division, leaving his competitors in the dust by a 2+ second deficit.

Owen Michaels and Ben Doucette put on quite the show in the 25-lap Sportsman feature with a battle that came down to the wire. Michaels came out on top, beating Doucette to the line by a miniscule .195 seconds.

The Sr. Champ feature was yet another barn burner, with the top 3 drivers finishing within one second of each other. Welker Reynolds took home the crown, sealing the victory over Colby Wilson and Arielle Holland.

Some of the drivers that had a tough outing on Sunday included Walker Peaslee, James Doucette, Bentley Colby, Braxton Cyr and Jackson Corbeau, who was taken to a local hospital to assess for injuries.

Fortunately, all drivers walked away with minimal injuries and have additional time to recover given that we are taking a short break from competition until next Friday, September 4th.

We hope that everyone is enjoying their well-deserved time off and we can't wait to get back to it next week!

The boys are on the hunt for “racing shirts” as part of their school shopping list! 🏁🏎️

If you have any in stock, please let me know in the comments! 👇🏼 We’d love to support your race team by purchasing shirts for the 2026–2027 school year! 😊❤️

A huge thank you to our Papa Ken for his incredibly generous donation of a case of water and a case of Gatorade for our race team! 🏁⚡️ Your support means so much to us and is very much appreciated. We’re grateful to have you apart of our team! ❤️🏎️

What an eventful day at the track! 😪🏁 It was a day FULL of cautions! We’re hoping our friend Jackson Corbeau in the Jr Sportsman division has a speedy recovery. ❤️‍🩹

As for our Newton Racing crew: Jacoby started 3rd and finished 9th in his heat. He then started 7th and finished 9th in his feature. Cole had a solid day, starting and finishing 4th in both his heat and feature!

Not exactly the day we were hoping for, but we’re proud of both boys for getting out there, battling through the CHAOS, and bringing it home in one piece.

Thank you to Papa Ken, Papa Donny, Ashley & Coffee man for being there to cheer us on, Deb, Steve & the entire LST staff, and to our INCREDIBLE list of sponsors for helping get us here each and every week!
