The Sidner Ice Arena was constructed in 2003 and 2004, opening in April of 2004. Construction costs for the arena were funded by a donation from the Arena’s namesake, the Sidner family to honor their daughter Anne as well as additional monies raised by the Fremont Community. The arena is part of the Fremont Family YMCA, the second largest YMCA in the nation. A separate non-profit group, the Fremon

t Ice Association, is very active in the continued support of the arena. The Fremont Ice Association is the governing body for the Fremont Flyers USA Hockey Organization. For additional information on the Fremont Ice Association, please contact [email protected] or stop by the rink. The arena is located in Fremont, Nebraska, at 1558 East Military Ave. Situated on the corner East Military and Lincoln, adjacent to Memorial Stadium and Memorial Park, the arena is easily accessed from HWY 275, HWY 30, and HWY 77

Summer is the perfect time to build skills that are harder to focus on during the season, and not every player needs to skate all summer to improve.

Sidner Summer Dryland Training is designed to help players:
• Improve puck handling and shooting mechanics
• Build agility, balance, and quickness
• Develop better movement habits
• Stay active and engaged during the offseason

A lot of what players work on during the season can also be practiced at home — we help teach the habits, drills, and techniques they can continue building all summer long.

Open to Mite–High School players. Limited spots available.
