God is a creative God. He does not repeat Himself.

He does not copy-paste. He does not churn out the same story twice.

And neither should you.

The thing that makes your voice unique, the specific perspective, the strange angle, the detail only you would notice - that is not a liability.

That is the new thing.

A question I want to sit with you in today:

When did you first know you were creative?

Not when did you decide to pursue it. When did you first know?

For most of us there is a moment. A drawing. A story. A song you made up in the backseat of a car.

And then — somewhere along the way — that knowing got complicated.

I would love for you to go back and find that first moment today. Not with nostalgia. With gratitude.

That was God handing you something.
