People often ask “why do I need a personal trainer”. Well the answer is a tricky one. Even the top athletes have personal trainers. Even body builders have personal trainers. Why is this? It’s because of accountability, it’s because others can see things you can’t, it’s because they can push you beyond what you think your limits are. There’s many things a personal trainer can do for you. How many times have you gotten injured doing an exercise? Well, odds are your form was off and you couldn’t see it. How many times have you gotten frustrated because you didn’t see changes or plateaued? Well, a trainer can mix it up for you and help you break through. How many times have you seen multiple people doing the same exercise in different ways? Odds are they’ve altered the exercise to work for them, maybe due to an injury, or lack of knowledge. See, people think personal trainer and they automatically think someone is just trying to take their money, and there are people out there like that. If a trainer is in it for the money, then they are in it for the wrong reason. So when you see a personal trainer there’s more to what’s going on than what you see. There’s more going on than just seeing someone paying someone else money. If you want to see the other side, then find one and just simply ask them about an exercise. You’ll see that they are willing to show you a thing or two if they aren’t currently working with a client. If you see me around the gym, don’t be afraid to ask a question. We all have questions.
