True Strength Martial Arts U.K.G.A. Fort Smith

U.K.G.A. Fort Smith is an affiliate of the United Kempo and Gung Fu Academies. Similar to Japanese Jiu Jitsu.

True Strength Martial Arts is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential by honoring tradition and embracing the new so that they may find their True Strength. The curriculum covers several martial arts including:

Shinjutsu Kempo Karate - A traditional Okinawan Karate mixed with joint locks, throws, and chokes. Kuai Shou Pai Gung Fu - A modern approach to Chinese martial arts utiliz

ing trapping hand skills to nullify and control a stronger opponent. Focuses on using "softness" to overcome force and economy of motion. Shinjutsu Kempo Kenjutsu - Traditional Japanese sword discipline combining both the arts of Iaijutsu (sword drawing) with Kenjutsu (swordsmanship). Jeet Kune Do Principles - U.K.G.A.'s principles of JKD originally envisioned by the late Bruce Lee. Combines Kempo and Gung Fu techniques flowing together using JKD as the vehicle. Kobujitsu - Okinawan Weapons arts. Weapons included are: Yawara, Combat Jo, Nunchaku, Sais, Bo Staff, Tonfa, and Tanto. is a family oriented martial arts school focusing not only on the functionality of martial arts, but also developing the character of its practitioners. The goal is to make the practitioner the best martial artist he/she can be, so training methods are altered depending on training goals, body type, and interests.

Master Honk has an important announcement to make:

Tomorrow is our in-school skills tournament!

A few things to remember:

It's important to be on time. The tournament starts at 9:30 sharp, so it's crucial to be there early enough to get registered before that time. Master Honk recommends getting there 15 minutes early. Check in with Miss Amy when you come in. 😊

Be sure to wear you FULL UNIFORM!! If you are new and haven't got a uniform yet, just come dressed in a black shirt and pants.

It's going to be a fun and crazy day! There are 4 events: Balance Ball, Speed Striking, Distance Ball, and of course, everyone's favorite event Pool Noodle Sparring.

There will be three winners from each age group with an additional Grand Champion competition for the Pool Noodle Sparring (one for Mini/Little Ninjas and one for Youth Class). 🥇🥈🥉The Grand Champion winners will get a trophy! 🏆 Do your very best and show good sportsmanship whether you place or not, and you will earn a Best Effort medal! 🏅

We can't wait to see you tomorrow! 🪿🥋
