Every kid wants to quit sometimes — a hard drill, a tough day, a move they can't land yet.
We don't let them quit on themselves. We teach them to try again. 👊🥋

Three ways to hold your ground:

1. Decide your line before you're in the moment. 👊
2. Keep an exit line ready: "I'm good." 🙅
3. Surround yourself with people who respect a no. 👥

The mat helps build that backbone first.🥋

This is a little slow but, June & July were extremely busy months so, this will be a mass drop of pics & events. Teams from all over the area started coming in on June 26th & lots of fellowship, BBQ, breakfasts & cobbler with ice cream was had IYKYK. The 27th brought the South Central Tournament to Fort Smith where the RV Team celebrated several victories. We had 2 DBN’s promoted to black belt. Congratulations to Meri & Jacen on this milestone accomplishment. Additionally, we had 3 black belts who took home Grand Champion Honors: Mitch SBN, Lance PSBN & Jaxon JKN all did magnificent in their divisions earning them these honors. All of these achievements netted team River Valley the championship award for the 6th straight year! The work that went into these victories is something very few organizations can fathom & I am extremely proud of our team as it took an enormous team effort to pull off such a fantastic weekend!
On June 28th, we hosted specialized seminars taught by several master instructors from all over. This included sessions by the highest ranking (10th degree) black belts within K*k Sool Won the husband & wife team SKJN’s Harmon as well as CJN Suh & many other masters from various regions. Thank you to ALL of the school owners, Masters & Competitors who made these events a great success!
Finally, July came in with a BANG The dojang was closed for Independence Day but, the next weekend, quarterly testing was conducted. Everyone did an amazing job improving their skill level & character over the past 3 months. Congratulations to all who tested & ranked up! We also held our annual summer camps at Harvest Time & Cavanaugh Children’s Center. We were presented with the certificate in the photos & we always have such a blast 💥 with these 2 groups of kids & look forward to visiting these campuses every summer!-Master Gray
