Post 8 Junior Legion Walk It Off Against Post 320 Shooters

It came down to the wire on Wednesday at Hyde Stadium, as Post 8 Junior Legion grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Post 320 Shooters. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when Lathan Rounds singled, scoring one run.
Post 320 Shooters got on the board in the first inning after Trevin Walker singled, scoring one run.
Jace Hand singled to center field on a full count, which helped Post 8 Junior Legion tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Post 8 Junior Legion took the lead in the bottom of the second. Tace Palecek grounded out, scoring one run, to give Post 8 Junior Legion the lead, 2-1.
Post 320 Shooters jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Brady Novak walked, and Tayden Lanaghan hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Post 8 Junior Legion took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Brecken Fuhrman tripled, scoring four runs, to give Post 8 Junior Legion the leg up, 6-3.
Edric Knutson grounded out, which helped Post 320 Shooters tie the game at six in the top of the sixth.
Landry Van Roekel earned the win for Post 8 Junior Legion. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Walker took the loss for Post 320 Shooters. The righty went one inning, surrendering one run on two hits, striking out one and walking none. Hand started the game for Post 8 Junior Legion. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out none and walking one. Corbin O’Connor stepped on the bump first for Post 320 Shooters. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out none and walking two. Latrelle Rodriguez appeared in relief for Post 8 Junior Legion.
Hayden Northrup, Rounds, and Hand each collected two hits for Post 8 Junior Legion. Palecek, Rounds, and Hand each drove in one run for Post 8 Junior Legion.
Post 320 Shooters accumulated 10 hits in the game. Lanaghan led Post 320 Shooters with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The catcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Cooper Kimball went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Post 320 Shooters in hits. Walker collected two hits for Post 320 Shooters in three at bats.
