South Dakota 2025 was another successful year. Every hunter got an opportunity at a nice buck. Archery hunters averaged almost a stalk a day. Rifle season was 100% opportunity with only one hunter going home without a deer after passing on multiple shooter bucks looking for a SD giant! The season started out with tagging a nice western South Dakota archery buck on his first ever western hunt! Congrats kid! Your patience paid off!
"Thank you to Lyn Hoffman for the opportunity to go out to South Dakota, it was a blast! I am beyond grateful for the experience and thankful to be doing this kind of stuff. I stalked this deer yesterday and was in a drainage with him for almost 2 hours sitting within 50 yards of him and only laid eyes on him twice. He was bedded in some thick cedars and I couldn’t get a shot. The wind was swirling and he ended up winding me. He got up and went the other way. We found him this morning while glassing, watched him go over a ridge so we circled around and found him bedded on the hill side. We had a good wind so I snuck over the hill and sat at 30 yards for about 45 minutes he finally stood up and gave me a shot, and I smoked him!!! 1st ever mule deer down!!🤘"
