NINETEEN YEARS! 💙🏊
Nineteen years… wow! It’s hard to believe it’s been that long since I completed my ISR training in the summer of 2007.
To every family who trusted me with your babies when I was a brand-new instructor—thank you. I truly wouldn’t be here without you.
The early years weren’t always easy. There were challenges with neighbors and code enforcement, countless conversations trying to convince a local dive shop to let me teach there, and then having to scramble for host pools when that dive shop closed for several months. There were plenty of moments when it would have been easier to give up.
But I believed in what I was doing. I knew these lessons mattered, and I knew they could save lives. That belief kept me going.
Nineteen years later, I’m humbled to have:
💙 Taught more than 2,500 children
💙 Trained 65 ISR instructors
💙 Mentored 3 ISR Master Instructors
The numbers are meaningful, but what means even more are the relationships I’ve built along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for every child I’ve had the privilege of teaching, every family who placed their trust in me, and every instructor I’ve had the honor of training.
One of the greatest rewards has been watching former students grow into confident swimmers who go on to enjoy swim teams, snorkeling, scuba diving, and a lifetime of safely enjoying the water. It’s equally rewarding to watch the instructors I’ve trained build successful businesses in their own communities, helping even more children learn these life-saving skills.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey over the past 19 years. Whether you’ve brought your child to lessons, referred a friend, supported my business, or trained alongside me, you’ve helped make this milestone possible.
