⚾ FYB MID-SEASON WIFFLEBALL SPECTACULAR! ⚾

Big news, FYB Families! We are shaking things up for our mid-season event and bringing the ultimate backyard experience to Memorial Park! Introducing the 2026 Mid-Season Wiffleball Spectacular!

We’re trading the dirt for the grass to give pitching arms a break and let the kids take the lead. It’s all about friends joining forces, building fundamentals, and seeing just how easy it is to start a pickup game anywhere!

🏆 THE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Build Your Dream Team: Players act as GMs to form their own 4-5 person squads with friends!
- Play With Anyone: Teams can be made of friends from any regular-season team within their division or "play up" (not down).
- Double Elimination: Guaranteed at least two games of Wiffleball glory!
- The Sandlot Vibe: Minimal coaching, maximum fun! Let the kids communicate, make the plays, and run the show (with an official at every game to keep it fair).

📅 MARK YOUR CALENDARS:
- Friday, June 12 (6-8 PM): Open Practice.
- Saturday, June 13: Tournament Day!
* 10 AM: AAA, Minor, & Major.
* 2 PM: Pony & Brooks.

👟 QUICK RULES:
- Athletic shoes only—NO CLEATS on the grass diamonds!
- Gloves are only allowed for the AAA Division. All others play barehanded!
- 5 pitches per at-bat to keep the action moving.

📝 HOW TO JOIN:
This event is open to all currently registered FYB players. If you don’t have a full team of 5, don't worry! Register as an individual or small group and we’ll help you complete your squad.

Registration forms are available at the concession stand starting Monday, June 8, and are due back by Wednesday, June 10!

You can also email your form to [email protected] or hand it to any board member. Let’s get those dream teams together for some non-stop action and backyard fun! 🏏⚾

Wow, what an incredible Opening Weekend! Our hearts are absolutely full as we look back on the last few days. Starting a new season is a massive team effort, and we are so incredibly grateful to everyone who stepped up to make this weekend such a fun, memorable, and smooth success.

To our amazing Players: Thank you for bringing your energy, your smiles, and your love for the game out to the fields. You are the reason we do this!

To our dedicated Coaches: Thank you for your leadership, patience, and for volunteering your time to mentor and guide our athletes.

To our Umpires: A huge thank you for your commitment and hard work on the diamond. Your presence and professionalism make it possible for our games to be played fairly and safely, and we appreciate the vital role you play in the FYB community!

To our selfless Volunteers: From working the concessions and prepping the fields to helping behind the scenes, you are the backbone of FYB. We quite literally couldn't do this without you!

To our wonderful Families and Fans: Thank you for filling the stands, cheering loud, and creating such a positive, supportive environment for all the kids.

🏟️ TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK: We Need You! ⚾️

With 42 teams arriving this weekend for the Fort Preseason Invite, we are getting ready for a massive weekend at Memorial Park! To make this a "home run" experience for the players and our guests, it’s going to take a full roster of volunteers.

We are asking every FYB family to step up to the plate and grab at least one shift. Whether you want to stay in the shade or get right in the action, we have a spot for you!

📋 THE LINEUP: WHERE CAN YOU HELP?

🍔 Concessions & Grillmasters: Help our staff keep the lines moving or show off your skills at the grill!

🧹 Park Clean-up Crew: Keep our park looking sharp (yes, you get to use the official "grabber sticks"!).

🏗️ Field Maintenance: Help prep the dirt between games so the kids have a pro-level experience.

🚚 The Heavy Lifters: Have a truck? We need help picking up tables/chairs on Friday afternoon or returning them Monday morning.

🍌 THE BANANA BALL RAFFLE: Are you the life of the party? We need a "Banana Suit" ambassador and a sidekick to rove the park and raffle off tickets to see the Savannah Bananas at American Family Field!
