So I took a little hiatus...sorry to leave you all hanging. The new year is upon us. The new year, new beginnings, and yes new years resolutions. This year I decided not to make a new years resolution, because I am already living a new lifestyle, and we all know those resolutions only last a short time. So what do we do so that doesn't happen? One of the things that I have learned over my journey is that in order for something to work it has to become a habit. So how does one make something a habit? Well as children we are taught to brush our teeth every morning, after meals and before bed. That seemed to work, right? Then why is it as adults is it so hard for us to make good habits? I have used and heard many excuses, but the one I hear and have used most is TIME. I don't have time, my work schedule, the kids schedule. So would our parents allow us not to have time to brush our teeth, better yet would you allow your children to tell you that they don't have time to brush their teeth? So I ask you again how do we make something a habit? ACCOUNTABILITY, that's right accountability, hold yourself accountable; and if that doesn't work get a buddy, friend, spouse, sibling or anyone that you know will hold you accountable. Before you know it you will have formed a new habit, because you or the person holding you accountable will be checking to see if you have met your daily goals. Good luck on journey to a healthier and happier you
