🥋 Fun week ahead at The DOJO! 🥋

This week we’re turning up the excitement with Chrome Stripe Competitions in class! Students will have the opportunity to challenge themselves, compete, earn stripes, and have a blast with their teammates.

If your child has been working hard, this is a week they won’t want to miss.

Then on Saturday, we’ll wrap up the week with our Graduation Celebrations as students take the next step in their martial arts journey and celebrate all of their hard work and progress.

It’s going to be a great week filled with learning, achievement, confidence, and fun.

NERF NINJAS WEEK starts Monday and it's going to be one of the most exciting weeks of the summer!

Get ready for Nerf battles, ninja challenges, team games, obstacle courses, and nonstop fun with friends. Our coaches will be right in the middle of the action making sure every camper has an incredible experience.

This week always fills up fast, and we only have a few spaces remaining.

One of the conversations I hear most from parents is:

"Should I make my child do it?"

Should I make them go to practice?
Should I make them finish the season?
Should I make them stick with karate?
Should I let them quit?

The truth is, every family is different. Every child is different. There isn't one answer that fits everyone.

But here's something I've learned:

Kids see today's discomfort.

Adults see tomorrow's opportunity.

A child sees the hard practice.
A parent sees the confidence that comes from finishing something difficult.

A child sees correction.
A parent sees growth.

A child sees sacrifice.
A parent sees the reward on the other side.

Many of the qualities we value most in life—discipline, confidence, resilience, perseverance—are built through doing hard things.

And because children can't always see the full picture yet, they often need someone with a longer view to help guide them.

That's one of the greatest responsibilities of parenting.

Not making life easier.

Helping them discover they're capable of hard things.

At The DOJO, we see it every day. Kids who want to quit become kids who are proud they didn't. Kids who struggle become kids who believe in themselves.

Sometimes confidence isn't found by avoiding challenges.

It's built by overcoming them.

🌟 CAMPER OF THE WEEK: SHAY 🌟

This week’s Camper of the Week is Shay!

One of the things that makes Shay special is how he looks out for others. If there’s a camper standing alone or someone who doesn’t have a friend to play with, Shay is usually the first one to bring them into the group.

Whether it’s games, activities, or just making someone feel welcome, Shay is always in the middle of the action helping others have fun. He leads by example, includes everyone, and helps create the kind of environment we want at The DOJO.

We’re proud of the way Shay treats others and the positive impact he has on the campers around him.

Better focus.
