Big smiles and big fun at Spout Springs Elementary! 🥋🙌

We had such a great time teaching Miss Grimes and Miss Gott’s first-grade SEARCH class! Thank you for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to pour into these awesome kids. ❤️

At The Dojo, “Building Better Kids” reaches beyond our walls. We love showing up, encouraging students, and investing in the community we call home!

Halloween Costume Week at The Dojo was SO much fun! 🎃🥋
We had superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs, and even a few ninjas (the real kind 😉) kicking, blocking, and yelling KIAI in class this week. Nothing beats watching a Spider-Man nail his front kick!
Thank you to all our parents for the amazing costumes. Our students bring the energy every single day, costume or not. 🧡
Want to see what the fun is about? Come try a class with us!

A failed test can fuel the road to black belt.
His moment of pain was what made him try harder. He wanted it so bad that he teared up. The next day he came in after practicing and getting frustrated at home and thinking about it — and he nailed it. Just one day later.
Not everybody passes this test. That’s okay, parents. Try not to make the pass the only win. Think about the distance. Getting to black belt is not going to be easy. There are going to be hard tests and hard minutes and hard times — but you can overcome them.
If you didn’t pass, we’re going to really work with you and help you understand why, and be there to get you over that hump. If you did pass, you don’t have to feel bad about it. You can celebrate. This was a great test. Seriously impressive karate from these kids.
This is what we mean when we say Building Better Kids. The real growth shows up in the extra practice, the frustration, and the choice to come back.
