Mike has ridden Trace Ridge, a local trail here in Pisgah, more times than he can count, and there’s still one rooty left hander that catches him off guard every single time. The first time he hit it on the Invert Enduro, he braced for a rough landing that never came.
Mike is our Brand Marketing Manager, and he’s quick to point out that he isn’t a professional rider. He's just someone that likes to ride a lot. As of today, has more than 400 hours on one Invert Enduro chassis, from laps at WildSide and Windrock in Tennessee to wet, dark, and rocky miles here in Pisgah. During Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventure Race, he covered 75 miles and 11,000 feet of climbing in just over 12 hours on a 170mm bike. As he started running on empty running on empty by the end, the fork was still doing its job and letting him pilot his bike confidently.
He wrote about all of it, including the prototypes, the launch video shoot, what needed fixing before production, and why his friends keep coming back from a lap saying “it felt like nothing.”
