Courtney and Rockette in their Friday lesson. Zig zag on a circle.

Rockette is getting better and better. It’s like a big puzzle. Hooves are good now. Left shoulder has gotten smaller but is still way bigger than right one. I got her a wider Fichtbauer saddle from Germany that has more shoulder freedom. She seems to agree. Now I am hoping that the shoulder keeps shrinking since her gate is not altert anymore.

Green horse Ty under saddle again after a 4 month ulcer rehab. We started 1,5 weeks ago. He’s an ex race horse. With us for 1,5 years including a long let down time.

He really needs his neck right now for balance. I keep his neck straight in turns to keep him in balance and not shift the weight of his neck right or left. Not shown before is our warm up with ground work (mobilization and flexions) and our side movements.

Side note, we have a ton of mosquitos. Poor horses… Any advice how to get rid of some?

Today Biene needed some motivation to get into work mode. In her opinion it was too hot and too nice to work… 🤭

I am working on changes with hand movement. In the future I’ll need less leg and hand movement will show Biene that I want a change. Manuel taught us that in our last Escola block last month.

I am not looking for a pretty head set. I want her to keep her balance until she can hold it in that exercise.

It’s 5 am and I am getting over a jet leg. Watching the boys with a coffee. ❤️ Sometimes it takes them over an hour. And this happens multiple times a day. 🤣

By the way, a rooster🐓 moved in. Jeremy thought it was a good idea.🙈

I am in Germany schooling with Manuel Jorge de Oliveira. Our horses are well taken care of as I can see 💕I just received this sweet video. Looking forward to come back home soon.
