Chuckanut Bay Rugby Club Geoduck: The most dangerous bi-valve in the Pacific northwest.

The Chuckanut Bay Rugby Club was founded in 1973 after a group of recent Western Washington University graduates realized that they couldn't play as Western students. They formed the club and established the Geoducks as the team mascot because of it's history as the most dangerous bi-valve in the Pacific Northwest. The founders picked Columbia Blue (traditional WWU color) and Orange (traditional h

ue of a Chuckanut Bay sunset) as the team colors. Today, the club boast a membership of over 200 kids and supporters, with teams in the Mini's, U-14 , U-16, U-19 boys, U-19 girls, women, and men. Games are currently played over the weekends out on the deWilde Rugby & Polo Fields in Ferndale, WA

Chris Rowell will be hosting adult 7s training Thursdays at 630pm at DeWilde Rugby & Polo Fields. Come for an hour of high intensity 7s then play some touch!
Chris is assistant coach at LaSalle University, former coach at Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales, and a Chuckanut Alumni.

Wow! What an evening, so many familiar faces, new faces came out to show support for Chuckanut Rugby and the programs we run for the community! Early tallies show we grossed over $35,000 last night in funds raised! Grassroots rugby at its finest! Huge thank you to donors, for the incredible paella experience, for the heartfelt, inspiring speech, & for running the show, and the amazing volunteers dedicating their time and energy to make this event possible. Heart is full!
