Ferdinand Jiu Jitsu had an impressive weekend at the Fuji Tournament in Lexington Kentucky!

Mason Lubbers and Aaron Beckman both had great matches and we are extremely proud to have them on our team.

Huge thank you to Curtis W Smith for his help assisting in coaching the team, capturing videos and photos, and being our on site medic.

This is an exciting reminder of how far this team has come and where it’s headed next! 🤙🥋

We had a great Tuesday class this week—tons of energy, great training, and some solid rolls!

Just a couple of reminders:

📌 We will not have Open Mat this Saturday, June 20th, as a few of our members will be competing in Lexington. If you’d like more information about the tournament or plan on attending, please let Zack know!

📌 There will be no class on June 30th.

🥋 Regular classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15–7:30 PM at Tri-County YMCA. Whether you’re brand new or have years of experience, all skill levels are welcome!

Just a couple of reminders and updates:

No class on Saturday, June 20, several of our members will be competing in a tournament in Lexington. Good luck to everyone competing! Please let Zack know if you would like more information about the tournament.

Great class tonight working on the details of the Omoplata.

🤙 We are two days away from our cookout at the 18th street park in Ferdinand!!! This event will be for our members and families to get together and celebrate.

10am - 11am ish will be frisbee golf.
11am - 2pm cookout at the lower shelter house.

The vibes during last night’s class were great! The team worked hard, and we even had some new faces join us. We love being able to provide a fun, intense environment where everyone can push themselves and grow. Keep up the great work!

Reminders:

Here are some announcements:

• New open mat dates will be May 9th and May 23rd from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Tuesday Class - 4/21/26

Last night we focused on escaping closed guard, and the team brought great energy and effort. It’s awesome to see everyone continuing to improve each week. We also had several new faces join us, which is always exciting!

Just a reminder that we train every Tuesday and Thursday at the Tri-County YMCA from 6:15–7:30. All skill levels are welcome, so don’t hesitate to jump in.

A huge congratulations to Vaughn and Llinkyn on earning their first stripe on their white belts. They’ve been putting in the work, and it’s well deserved. Great job, guys!
