Tonight we celebrated our record breaking season at the awards banquet.
Mental Attitude award went to
Miles Rea.
Low 9 Hole average went to Collin Lorey.
Most Improved went to Ben Rasche.
MVP was awarded to Collin Lorey.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this team. These seniors will be missed so much, but I am so glad they go out as Sectional Champions! I am forever grateful to them for the memories they’ve created.

Today the Rangers came up 10 shots short of advancing to the State Finals in the unbelievably
tough Washington Regional. Castle would win with a 291, Bloomington South 2nd with a 295 and Evansville Memorial 3rd with a 299. As we close out this great season I want to highlight some accomplishments of this senior class.

🏆They break the 9 hole record by firing a 152 at Country Oaks. The previous record had stood for 40+ years.

🏆They break the 18 hole record firing 326 at Sultans Run.
🏆Maddox Geyer ties school 9 hole scoring record at -2 (34)

🏆They break 18 hole scoring record by firing 324 at Country Oaks.
🏆They smash 18 hole scoring record yet again firing 304 at Christmas Lake.
🏆Collin Lorey ties 9 hole scoring record at -2 (34)
🏆They set the current 18 hole record of 299 at Sultans Run.
🏆Xander Fleig sets 18 hole scoring record at 72.
🏆They earn a top 25 Ranking for first time in school history.
🏆They claim the first PAC Conference Title in school history by shooting 306 at Country Oaks
🏆🔥They win the first Sectional Title in school history by firing a 299 to win by 20 shots!
🏆Xander Fleig becomes first Forest Park individual Sectional Champion in 37 years.

They were a great group of young men to coach from 5th grade on. As coaches we were just lucky enough to go along for the ride. Thank you fellas!⛳️

Special THANK YOU to Val Fleig. He has been this programs biggest supporter over the last 4 years. It’s been his tradition to treat the Sectional Team to a steak dinner at the Schnitz during Regional Week. This years steaks tasted just a little bit better! 🏆⛳️💪

2026 - 299 - SECTIONAL CHAMPION - lowest winning Sectional score in 14 years - Regional to be played June 11

From 496 to 299 - shaving almost 200 strokes, several Regional appearances AND a SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Rangers claim first Sectional Championship by setting yet another 18 hole school record at an amazing 299! This is the lowest team score by any team in the last 14 years at the Jasper Sectional. Xander Fleig and Collin Lorey would fire the low rounds of the day at 73. Fleig would eventually claim Individual Sectional Champion after a sudden death playoff vs Lorey. Maddox Geyer came through huge with a career low 75. Ben Rasche at the 4 spot recorded another impressive round of 78. Arguably the top freshman in our area, Miles Rea carded an 86. These guys will be back in action Thursday at the Country Oaks Regional where they will give it their all for a potential trip to the State Finals.

Ranger, Xander Fleig was invited to play as an individual in the 36 Hole Adam Schenk Invitational today at Cypress Hill CC in Vincennes. Xander represented Forest Park well firings rounds of 74 & 73 to finish T5 in the very talented 75 player field.
