Our registration system only allows us to select a specific date for open enrollment , not a specific time—so as soon as the clock strikes midnight and it officially becomes July 28, registration will be open! ⏰

We can’t wait to welcome everyone for our biggest season yet! 💜🩵

If a class you’re hoping for is already full, don’t panic—be sure to add yourself to the waitlist! ✨

Over the next few days, spots often become available as families finalize their schedules and make adjustments. Miss Jenn will be checking registrations morning, midday, and evening to monitor schedule changes and make adjustments wherever possible to accommodate as many dancers as we can.

✨ REGISTRATION IS ALMOST HERE! ✨

Season 13 registration opens TOMORROW for our Season 12 families, so here are a few quick tips to make the process as smooth as possible! 💜🩵

✅ Have your Parent Portal account ready before registration opens.
🔑 Make sure you know your login information (save yourself the last-minute password reset! 😉).
📅 Preview the schedule now so you already know your preferred classes. Many classes filled quickly last season, and we expect the same this year!
💳 Check that you have a payment method on file in your Parent Portal.
💰 Make sure your account balance is $0. Any outstanding balance must be taken care of before registration.
🛒 Don’t forget to fully check out! Your classes are not reserved until you’ve completed the checkout process.

The wait is finally over! Our Season 13 class schedule is officially here, and we couldn’t be more excited to share what we have planned for what is shaping up to be our BIGGEST and BEST season yet! 🤩

Now is the perfect time to look through the schedule, talk with your family, and plan your preferred classes before registration opens. Last year’s enrollment absolutely blew us away, and many classes filled much faster than expected. We anticipate the same excitement this season!

As a thank you to our amazing Season 12 families for another incredible year, you’ll receive early registration access before enrollment opens to the public. 💜

📌 A few important reminders:
✨ Previous Acro students and Ballet (ages 7+) students can now find their recommended class level in the Notes section of your Parent Portal.
✨ Auditioning for our Competition Team? Register for your recommended ballet class (our only required non-competition class) plus any recreational classes you’d like to enjoy.
✨ Acro is still highly recommended but is no longer a competition team requirement.
✨ Once competition team placements are finalized, we’ll get everyone registered for their team rehearsals.

Who’s ready to see everything we have planned for our BIGGEST and BEST season yet?! 🩵💜🖤

The next 2 days are the perfect time to start looking over the schedule and planning your family’s preferred classes! Many of our classes filled quickly last season, and based on the incredible response we had, we expect many to do the same again this year. 🙀

🩵💜 Please help us give a warm OPDC welcome to our newest instructor, Ms. Katlynn! 💜🩵

We are so excited to have Ms. Katlynn join the On Pointe Dance Center family this season!

Originally from Minocqua, Wisconsin, Katlynn has been immersed in the dance world for many years. She trained in ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and competition dance, while developing a special love for hip-hop. Her passion for dance quickly grew into a passion for teaching, beginning as a dance assistant before becoming an instructor. Over the years, she has taught jazz and hip-hop while helping inspire the next generation of dancers.

In addition to her dance background, Katlynn has experience as a daycare teacher, making her a wonderful fit for working with dancers of all ages.

A message from Ms. Katlynn:
“Hello! My name is Katlynn! I’m from Minocqua, Wisconsin. I recently moved to North Carolina to explore new opportunities (and escape those below-zero winters! ❄️😂). I have a strong passion for dance and teaching, and I’m so excited to be a part of the OPDC family. I can’t wait to get to know everyone!”

Do you have a dancer who loves to perform, grow their technique, and be challenged? We’d love to see them at our Season 13 Competition Team Auditions!

📅 Technique Auditions: Thursday, July 30
✨ Specialty Groups, Solos, Duets & Trios Auditions (Optional): Friday, July 31

🌟 NEW THIS SEASON: OPDC Prep Team! 🌟

Our new Prep Team is the perfect stepping stone for dancers who are interested in competition but aren’t quite ready for the full commitment. Prep Team dancers are held to the same high standards and receive quality training, while having fewer rehearsal and competition requirements. We still encourage all interested dancers to attend auditions so we can best place them for a successful season!

Interested in Competition Team or Prep Team? Here’s what to do:
✅ Register through your Parent Portal.
✅ Within 1–2 days, you’ll receive a Google Form that must be completed for either program.
✅ Competition Team audition participants will also receive a skills sheet to help prepare for auditions.

🔥 TECHNIQUE BOOTCAMP STARTS NEXT WEEK! 🔥

Want to improve your technique before the fall season kicks off? This is your chance! 💪✨

Join us July 27th–29th from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM for three mornings packed with focused training to help dancers become stronger, cleaner, and more confident.

🩰 Daily Classes Include:
• Ballet
• Strength & Conditioning
• Jumps, Leaps & Turns
• Combo Class
✨ Monday: Jazz
✨ Tuesday: Contemporary
✨ Wednesday: Hip Hop

💜 Dancers will rotate through small groups, allowing for more individualized corrections and instruction. Group assignments will be given at check-in each morning.

📍 Studio opens at 8:45 AM
🥤 Bring a light snack and water for your break.
👯 Hair must be in a slicked-back bun, ponytail, or braid, and dancers should wear tight-fitting dance attire.

🩵💜 Everyone help us give a BIG OPDC welcome to Maddy! 💜🩵

We’re so excited to officially introduce the newest face you’ll be seeing at our front desk!

Maddy will be joining our team as our Office Admin/Front Desk Coordinator, and over the next few weeks you’ll see her training alongside Mrs. Morgan before she officially steps into the role. One thing you can count on? Making every family feel welcomed is her top priority! With a background in retail and exceptional customer service, she’s excited to help make your experience at OPDC the very best it can be.

A little about Maddy:
✨ Hi everyone! I’m Maddy! I graduated from Gray’s Creek High School, where I was a member of the cheer team. I also grew up dancing right here at OPDC, so coming back feels like coming home! I’m so excited to be part of the OPDC family and can’t wait to get to know all of our amazing dancers and families!
