Great sadness in the Highland community. Extending our hearts out to the family and those who were dear to John Hynd. Below is a picture from my dance teacher who was a student of his. John Hynd stands at the podium. This picture was taken before SOBHD came out with the modified dress rules, as is now worn today. This was the full dress and what was required to be worn in competition. My dance teacher, Nancy is the 2nd dancer on the left. John Hynd is being honored at the United Scottish Society lodge meeting and his students showed up and performed for him as a surprise. Circa 1963.
