9/11 MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB.

Thank you & for hosting the 14th Annual 9/11 stair climb, especially today, on the 25th anniversary so that we NEVER FORGET the 2,977 innocent victims that lost their lives on 09/11/01. Out of the lives lost, 343 firefighters and 23 NYPD officers sacrificed their lives in the valiant fight to save others. These are hero’s that revealed themselves in our darkest hour.

It has been a quarter century since we were attacked by terrorist and we need to NEVER FORGET what can happen if we don’t stand for freedom every single day! A large portion of our community was either too young or not even born yet, so they don’t understand the depth of how this affected us and the ENTIRE WORLD when this happened. We were all asleep at the wheel and took for granted our freedoms that we enjoy here, while EVIL planned and calculated this disgusting event for the purpose that freedom-loving Americans will never understand…

Athletes, this Saturday, September 12th, 10:30am Rise Physical Therapy-NWA will be hosting a free PELVIC FLOOR workshop at Mensch. We specifically chose this type of therapy for all our female athletes, including our new moms, active female athletes, and older women who would benefit from this training. This training will have a positive impact on every aspect of life.

Rise is sending their top doctors, Dr. Leah Thompson and Dr. Gabi-Kremers, who are trained to help us become stronger and feel supported.

Happy Labor Day! We put in some hard work this morning honoring the heroes of “Hot Shots 19” who lost their lives on June 30, 2013.

Today we ended our two weeks of Bring a Friend week. We had 30+ people come try out Mensch and they all joined!!!….Just kidding, not even close, but they did have fun and that’s why we do it. They all came to an incredible space, were invited by and introduced to a welcoming community to try something new and challenging by trying CrossFit!

Please join us in welcoming Catie Woodard, who’s interning at Mensch for the fall semester. She will be at Mensch on Tuesdays shadowing and learning from an awesome athlete and mentor, Coach Eric.

Catie is a senior at the and studying Exercise Science. She is currently exploring different career avenues in health and fitness. Catie, an avid fitness enthusiast, finds her values in fitness closely aligned with the CrossFit model. This alignment led her to explore CrossFit at Mensch. We are thrilled to welcome her as a member of our community this semester.

Please help us welcome our new intern, Kelsey Baker. Kelsey is a senior this year studying Exercise Science at the University of Arkansas. Kelsey is starting her second year with Army ROTC and is a part of the Razorback Rangers Challenge team who train weekly at Mensch. We are grateful to have her with us this semester. Mensch is celebrating the service industry Labor Day Monday, Sept. 7th, at 9:00 a.m. Our doors will be open to the community, and everyone is welcome to join us for free. The gym will be open for the remainder of Labor Day until 5 p.m. (open gym).

To honor our First Responders with the upcoming 9/11 Anniversary, we will be doing the Hero WOD “HOTSHOTS 19” to honor the Granite Mountain firefighters who were killed on June 30th, 2013, battling the Yarnell Hill Fire.

25 Years and We Will Never Forget. In three weeks the 14th Annual Memorial Stair Climb hosted by the University of Arkansas Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC is being held Friday, 9/11, as a tribute to honor and remember the heroes we lost 25 years ago during the 9/11 terrorist attack on our country.

We encourage everyone to attend the stair climb if they can. It is expected to take anywhere from 30 mins to 1.5 hours to complete. A rucksack or weight vest is also an option if you so desire.

On 9/11, Mensch will host 9/11 Tribute WOD: “Always Remembered” for all class times. Our doors are open for the entire community, and we welcome all who want to come and pay their respects to all the Americans we lost on September 11, 2001.

Congratulations to our Mensch athletes who competed today in the ! It was an exciting day of competition, with each athlete securing a podium spot. We are extremely proud of all of you, but more importantly you showed up to the comp with your sweet young children and still crushed it! What an amazing example for all of us.

What a great day competing in the HYROX SIM ._gym. For Mike, Kat and Blanca, this was their first race and we are so proud of them. Our Mensch athletes took on the challenge of a FULL HYROX race and absolutely crushed it.
