Participation in the Fargo American Legion Baseball program is a privilege extended to the players who are willing to make the commitment to adhere to the rules that govern American Legion Baseball and Fargo Post 2 Baseball. Participation in organized activities such as American Legion Baseball contributes to the all around development of young men. Fargo Post 2 sponsors American Legion Baseball f

or the purpose of giving players the opportunity to learn the important of teamwork, discipline, leadership, having fun, and good sportsmanship, as well as an opportunity to develop their baseball skills, personal fitness, and leadership qualities. Fargo Post 2 has won 28 North Dakota state championships, 4 Central Plains Regional titles, and was the 2019 American Legion World Series runner-up.

Post 2 is back in action down in Lincoln. They will resume their delayed game against Genes Auto at 12:30, followed by Carpetland (Lincoln East) at 7:00 PM.

Post #2 wins their first game in Lincoln, Neb., with a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over Creighton Prep.

Brander Hilmert’s sac fly in the bottom of the 7th scored Hunter Giere for the winning run.

Post #2 was led at the plate by Caden Nelson’s three RBIs on three hits including two doubles and a solo home run to open the 3rd.

Southpaw Beckett Gigstad got the win in two innings of relief work.

In game two, Post #2 was behind 1-0 to Papio South in the 4th, but the game was delayed, then suspended due to severe weather in the area.
