The wait is almost over… all Fargo Golf courses are set to open next week! 🙌

Dust off the clubs, rally your foursome, and get ready to tee it up, because golf season is officially back in full swing next week.

El Zagal golf course will be closing at end of day on Sunday, October 19. Thank you for a great season!

As we roll into the weekend, here’s what you should know for course updates:

✔️Prairiewood and El Zagal Golf Courses will close for the season at the end of the day on Sunday, October 19.
✔️Osgood, Rose Creek, and Edgewood Courses and Driving Ranges will close for the season at the end of the day on Sunday, October 26.

Make sure to make your last chance tee-times this weekend and keep an eye on our closure blog to make sure you are updated on seasonal course and facility closures!

Please note: El Zagal Golf Course will be closed until 11 am on Saturday, May 31 due to the Fargo Marathon race route. Good luck, runners!

We love Marathon Saturday in Fargo! 🏃 But we want you to be aware of race routes and what it means for our north Fargo courses:

✅El Zagal Golf Course will be CLOSED until 11 am on Saturday, May 31
✅Edgewood Golf Course will be OPEN but due to race routes can only be accessed by using the 40th Ave. N. exit north of the airport, until all runners have finished and the course is closed. Please allow extra time to make it to your tee-time!

Good luck, runners. We are so proud of your hard work. Come spend a beautiful Saturday on the course after your race.

Welcome, Lisa! We can't wait to kick-off another El Zagal golf season! 🏌️

✨Exciting news Fargo Golf ✨

We're excited to welcome Lisa Schwinden as the new Golf Manager at Edgewood and El Zagal Golf Courses!

A north Fargo native, Lisa grew up playing at Edgewood and El Zagal. She began her golf career at Edgewood and is now returning to oversee all aspects of course operations, including staffing, merchandising, budgeting, event coordination, and customer service. She will also lead player development programs, leagues, and lessons, continuing her commitment to growing and diversifying the game.


Lisa’s experience and certifications are extensive:

✔️PGA Master Professional in Teaching & Coaching (2019) - only the 12th woman worldwide to achieve this designation.
✔️PGA Class A Member (2005) & Certified Professional in Instruction (2007).
✔️Collegiate golfer at University of Portland and four-time West Coast Conference All-Academic Team member.

Lisa’s leadership and expertise will be an incredible asset to Edgewood, El Zagal and all of Fargo Golf.

She will start her new role on Monday, March 17. Join us in giving her a big Fargo Golf welcome!

Congratulations, Greg!

After more than 25 years at Edgewood and El Zagal Golf Courses, we are celebrating Greg McCullough's retirement today!

Greg has been an integral part of the Fargo Golf family. His passion, expertise and kindness have made both Edgewood and El Zagal special places for so many over the years.

While we are thrilled for Greg and this new adventure, it's a bittersweet moment for us all. His contributions to the game of golf and our community are deeply appreciated and will be missed. We are also a little nervous for who will keep the Muni Misfits in line now 😊

Welcome, Rocky!

The Fargo Golf team has a new member and we're so excited for you to meet him! Join us in welcoming Rocky Papachek as the Fargo Park District's first Golf Director! 🏌️

Rocky brings over 30 years of experience in the golf industry, managing operations at courses across the United States. Now, he's coming full circle and starting where his golf career began - at Fargo's five public golf courses (Rocky's first job was at Edgewood while in college at UND!).

As Golf Director, Rocky will lead operations across our five courses, focusing on golfer satisfaction, financial performance and delivering exceptional service. When he's not on the greens, Rocky enjoys biking, skiing, hunting and pickleball.

Thank you, El Zagal Golfers. We can't wait to see you next year!

As the the greens are covered, the carts locked up, and the pro-shop doors closed for the season, we can't help but take the opportunity to reflect on another incredible Fargo Golf season.

Holes-in-one, first time golfers, laughter, much needs girls' days, bachelor parties, date nights, family outings, solo rounds after work, and so much more.

Thank you for sharing your spring, summer AND fall with us this season, Fargo. We are counting down the days to 2025.
