Tutu School Akron Tutu School in Fairlawn offers ballet for kids 6 months to 8 years.

Tutu School is a boutique-style ballet school that caters specifically to children 6 months to 8 years-old. Our mission is simple: We believe that exposing children at the earliest possible age to creativity, movement, and classical music will only serve them well in whatever they choose to do with their lives, that dancing like swans and Sugar Plum Fairies not only exercises little bodies but also nurtures big imaginations, and that twirling should be a fundamental part of any childhood.

Bonjour, and happy spooky season! 🎃🩰✨

With so many new families twirling into our studios this fall, it feels like the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves!

👋 We’re Katie & Grant — former professional ballet dancers, tutu-obsessed parents, and the husband-and-wife team behind Tutu School Akron, Strongsville & Solon.

🖤 A throwback to two favorite spooky-season roles: Katie as Myrtha in Giselle with Texas Ballet Theater and Grant as Dracula with Dayton Ballet. For us, dress-up season was never just once a year — it was literally our job!

Between us, we’ve spent more than 45 years in the professional dance world. But becoming parents gave us a whole new perspective on ballet’s power to help little ones discover their unique sparkle.

Since bringing Tutu School HOME to Northeast Ohio in 2020, we’ve grown from one studio to three, and we’re so grateful to grow alongside our wonderful communities.

Our mission is to introduce young children to ballet through professional foundations, imaginative play, and joyful discovery — learning in ways that are natural, meaningful, and lasting . ✨

And as we enter the season of holiday candy, parties, sniffles, and time changes, we know childhood comes with its own quick changes — from joyful twirls to big feelings, sometimes all in the same class! 🎭 We’re here for all the leaps, wobbles, and charachter changes, celebrating each dancer’s unique colors along the way. 💗
