And that’s a wrap. Thank you to those of you that stuck with our little oasis of kindness and supported each other over the past 2 years. And thank you to those who hung around all these years prior to contribute in making the studio what it was. It was a most excellent run.
I love you and am a better person having had the chance to move, grow and gain with you as your fearless leader.
Remember that just cuz the space is gone, doesn’t mean we have to stop lovin’ on each other. Virtual Pilates and barre classes will start next week-keep an eye on the schedule for that and your email for more info. If you’d like to be on the “keep me posted about stuff, Shan” list-let me know…it’s a by request email list.

It’s the final countdown! One week until our sweet studio closes. Classes continue as normal for the week with a last hurrah FREE barre class on 29th at 9am. Class will be followed by mimosas and some all day hang out time. Any equipment or decor purchases can be picked up 10:30-4pm. Then of course we’ve got to send it off appropriately with some disco ball dancing from 7-9pm. Bring the kiddos do they can dance off their trick or treat sugar high and you can dance through your studio closure feelings. 💗🪩💃
Sign up for class and we’ll save you a spot (but mainly so I know how many bottles of Prosecco to purchase 😂).

We have a month to keep kickin’ ass at Barre Pose. And you better believe we’re planning on going out with a bangin’ party! Saturday October 29th at 9am we’ll have one final barre class followed by mimosas and tears, all day equipment pick up, and 7pm starts a dance party to seal up the end of an amazing era! Mark your calendars! Also, I know it’s Halloween weekend…so, make time in between whatcha already got planned to come say goodbye to our little haven.

So many emotions!! Did you check your email? Yesterday I sent out the details about the closure of our wonderful studio…here’s the down low:

1. We’re (hopefully) moving to New Zealand 🇳🇿
2. Whoa! I know!
3. Last class is Oct 28th
4. I’ll be selling off equipment & decor, so get your name on things asap.
5. We’ll have a going away party & a pick up your equipment day on the 29th & 30th (details later).
6. I love you. I’m so thankful for each of you and your support over the last couple years and the many years prior.
7. I’ll be taking private & duo Pilates equipment & mat clients starting in Nov. Reach out if interested. Virtual classes will also be an option if enough interest is expressed.

Have you done your summer reading yet? Snag a book from the studio library and soak up some more sunshine. We’ve even got books on disc for that last ditch vacation car ride & literary magazines for your quick alone time moments.

Aerial hammocks are so much fun! Come try a class with Julie, she’ll make sure you’re safe, give you a challenge, but make it accessible from where you are. We all need more hammock time this summer, come get yours Thursdays at 5:30pm 🙃

Y’all. It’s all happening! Puppy Pilates (& Barre, but mostly cuddles) Wednesday 6th @ 6pm sign yourself up asap! 5 sweet pups will be there to make it difficult to actually do Pilates…2 of these pups still need forever homes…hint hint wink wink*

It has taken me many days to process through some (not even close to all) of the feeling about the “supreme” court decision to overturn Roe as law. The loss of autonomy should scare the bejesus out of you no matter what your views about abortion itself. Their ability to whisk away the right to make individual decisions for yourself as a uterus toting human being is terrifying and shows us that it’s not about pro-life, because if it was they would have whisked away the right to acquire guns that are used to murder said children they say they’re trying to save or there’d be some movement on universal kindergarten or access to free childcare, etc etc. Now I can rant and rant and will continue to use my voice as long as it’s needed…and I hope you do too.
But if you’ve made it this far into this caption, more than anything I want you to know that I support you, stand with you, will stand up for you and will vote for us to own our own bodies…because if you don’t absolutely own all the rights to that, then you own nothing.
This studio is a safe space where you can talk and discuss or choose to shut it all out. It is a place to come move your gorgeous, capable body with freedom and support. I love you. We love you. Let’s FIGHT and RESIST with passion. 💜
