Queremos destacar la increíble labor que realiza nuestro equipo de voluntarios y, al mismo tiempo, asegurarnos de mantener informadas a nuestras comunidades. Aunque este mes no vimos detenciones en nuestros vecindarios si hubieron miembros de la comunidad detenidos en sus citas y aeropuertos.

Es importante consultar a un abogado si tiene que viajar por avion. También, aunque hay incertidumbre debe presentarse a sus citas de inmigración. Puede llamar a nuestra línea directa para solicitar acompañamiento (usualmente se necesita 1-2 semanas con anticipación).

En nombre de todo el equipo de La Red de Respuesta Rapida del Norte de la Bahia le queremos agradecer a la comunidad por su continua confianza y por permitirnos brindar apoyo durante estos tiempos difíciles.

Por favor, manténgase informado y al día con información sobre sus derechos y recursos disponibles! El pueblo salva al pueblo!

We want to highlight the incredible work our team of volunteers does and, at the same time, ensure our communities stay informed. Although we did not see detentions in our neighborhoods this month, there were community members detained during their appointments and at airports.

It is important to consult a lawyer if you need to travel via air. Additionally, despite the uncertainty, you should still attend your immigration appointments. You can call our hotline to request accompaniment (usually 1–2 weeks’ notice is required).

On behalf of the entire North Bay Rapid Response team we’d like to thank the community for your continued trust and allowing us to offer support during these difficult times.

Tendremos picnic, haremos piñatas y carteles en apoyo a nuestra ordenanza de No-cooperación con la Migra. Lo mejor de todo: la alegría y la comunidad.

Santa Rosa community,

The City of Santa Rosa announced that tomorrow night (Thursday, July 23), the feature film The Silence We Flee will be filmed in downtown Santa Rosa.

The scenes will feature actors portraying immigration agents and law enforcement. The scenes will be filmed both on a private set and on the street and will appear quite realistic, but they are not real.

We know this may cause stress and panic and give rise to many rumors, which is why we are sharing with you the information provided by the City of Santa Rosa’s Community Engagement:

• There will be street closures and traffic control during filming hours.
• Bilingual signage regarding the film production will be posted throughout the filming area.
• Private security personnel will be on site during filming.
• The city’s Arts and Culture Manager will be present during filming to answer questions from the community.

The North Bay Rapid Response Network is here for and by the community, and we are paying attention to the film shoot. Before sharing unverified information that might cause panic, please ask yourself if it could be related to this film shoot and check our social media accounts, as well as the city’s official channels.

Comunidad de Santa Rosa,

La Ciudad de Santa Rosa informó que mañana en la noche (jueves 23 de julio) se grabará la película “The Silence We Flee” en el centro de la ciudad.
Las escenas incluirán a actores que interpretarán a agentes de inmigración y a autoridades policiales. Las escenas se grabarán tanto en una locación privada como en la calle y parecerán bastante reales, pero no lo serán.

Sabemos que esto puede generar estrés, pánico y dar pie a muchos rumores, por eso estamos compartiendo con ustedes la información que la oficina de Participación Ciudadana de la ciudad de Santa Rosa proporcionó:

• Habrá cierres de calles y control de tráfico durante las horas de rodaje.
• Pondrán señalización bilingüe sobre la producción cinematográfica en toda el área de rodaje.
• Personal de seguridad privada estará presente en el lugar durante la filmación.
• La gerente de Arte y Cultura de la ciudad estará presente durante la grabación para responder a las preguntas de la comunidad.

La Red de Respuesta Rápida del Norte de la Bahía está aquí para y por la comunidad y prestará atención al rodaje.
