THREE STRAIGHT.
One conference championship. Countless hard-fought battles coming down to the line each time. Since the Steel City Bobcats and Erie Express first met, Erie has been the thorn in our side. Every time these two organizations line up across from each other, it’s a physical, disciplined, and highly competitive football game. The Express have earned their reputation. They’re well-coached, well-disciplined, and one of the best-run organizations in the PAFL. Coming off what many considered an upset victory over the Fire, they’ll roll into The Den with confidence and momentum, and we expect nothing less. On the other side, the Bobcats find themselves in unfamiliar territory. For the first time in team history, Steel City has dropped two straight games. The offense has struggled to find consistency, with communication breakdowns up front and ex*****on issues that have left fans wondering if Matt Canada somehow found his way into the playbook. But it’s not all bad news that for sure definitely some positives. The defense has been the backbone of this team and earned Defensive Player of the Week honors as a unit after another strong performance. Raphael “Turtle” Hurd stepped up to claim Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Savon Salter’s return provided a much-needed spark and reminded everyone exactly what he brings to this offense. The Bobcats also showcased one of their most creative touchdown designs of the season, only to see it wiped off the board by a questionable holding call. Now the focus shifts to Saturday. Can the Bobcats finally get over the Erie hurdle? Can the offense find its rhythm? Can Steel City avoid a third straight loss and defend The Den? Or will the Express continue to hold the upper hand in one of the PAFL’s most competitive rivalries? Saturday night, we’ll find out what cards the Bobcats offense draws.
