Erie's Nutcracker is a classical ballet performance held annually at the historic Warner Theatre in Erie, PA and produced by the Lake Erie Ballet Company (LEBC), a nonprofit ballet company with a focus on pre-professional instruction & dance experiences.

The cast is set… and the journey has officially begun!

Erie’s Nutcracker has announced its 2026 cast, our dancers have stepped in front of the camera for their promotional photoshoot (as you can see in our video), and now it’s time to Get. To. Work!! 🩰🎄

Rehearsals are beginning this week! Costume fittings are underway, and dancers are meeting the rest of the cast they’ll be sharing the Warner Theatre stage with this December.

From first rehearsals to final bows, there is so much magic still to come - and we can’t wait to bring you along behind the scenes as Erie’s Nutcracker comes to life. ✨

Between our Swan Lake on the Lake event (on the 22nd) and the start of Erie’s Nutcracker auditions (on the 24th), we somehow squeezed in even more fun—a fundraising night with the Erie SeaWolves! ⚾🩰

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support Lake Erie Ballet Company, cheer on the SeaWolves, and enjoy the game with us! This was our first year taking part in this fundraising opportunity, and we’re already dreaming bigger for next year…

Our goal? Raise enough support to have the Nutcracker himself throw out the first pitch! 🥜⚾

WOW! What an incredible amount of talent we saw at Sunday’s Erie’s Nutcracker auditions (dancers ages 13+!) 🩰✨

We’re so grateful to the dancers who came from studios all across our region to audition and share their passion with us.
One of the things that makes Erie’s Nutcracker so special is that it brings dancers from many different local studios together, giving them the opportunity to perform, grow, and create something beautiful as one for Erie.

Thank you to every dancer who showed up and gave it their all. We can’t wait to see this year’s production come to life! ❤️🎄

Day One brought so much talent, excitement, and courage into the studio. A huge thank you to all of the young dancers who showed up ready to dance, our judges who shared their time and expertise, and the parents and families who continue to support these dancers every step of the way.

We’re so grateful to everyone helping make this year’s Erie’s Nutcracker something special. ❤️🎄

When we tell you today’s Mini Ballet Series debut, Swan Lake on the Lake, was gorgeous… we mean it. 🦢✨

A huge thank-you to our incredible dancers, whose artistry brought Swan Lake to life, and to every family, friend, ballet lover, and curious newcomer who came out to experience this special evening with us.

And a big, mega, HUGE thank you goes out to Lake Erie Lights of PA and the Presque Isle Lighthouse for welcoming us into such a beautiful, one-of-a-kind setting and helping us bring this vision to life. We truly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place for Swan Lake on the Lake. 🌊🦢

We’re also so grateful to all of our vendors, musicians, partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped turn this event into something unforgettable. ❤️

No, but seriously- if you're unable to make it to this brand new dance experience for Erie, we have other performances in the works.

But for now... just... Swan Lake ... the elegance, the splendor, the focus, the attention to detail our dancers have given to this performance...

Our last sneak peak behind the scenes of LEBC dancers preparing for Swan lake on the Lake- Tomorrow! August 20th, mini ballet performances begin at 6 & 7pm.

Come for the dance, the food, the beauty of nature, the live music by Kallie Williams Music, the history of the Lighthouse (Lake Erie Lights of PA), the love for your Erie community...

oh, and also for the good food- especially those Soul Rolls by Roc's Catering– YUMMMMmmmm.
