Reminder: Millcreek Karate will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day.

Summer camp starts June 8.

That feels far away until school is almost over and everyone is suddenly trying to find the same open spots.

If you know you need summer camp, now is the time to choose your weeks.

Elite Summer Camp is open to ages 5–12, with early drop-off and late pick-up available.

our mommy & me self-defense workshop was one of my favorite events we’ve done in a long time. seeing moms and kids learning together, cheering each other on, and trying something new together was honestly really special.

It’s that time of year again!

Mother’s Day is coming up, and most people are thinking flowers, cards, maybe brunch.

All good things.

But some of the moments kids hold onto the most are the ones where you’re right there with them.

Not watching from the sidelines.
Actually doing something together.

I wrote a blog about why stepping into your child’s world matters more than we think, and how even one shared experience can make a difference.

💐 This Mother’s Day, we’re doing something a little different…

Our Mommy & Me Self-Defense Workshop is officially coming to Millcreek Karate, and it is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

You do not need to be a current student to join us.

This fun, beginner-friendly class is designed for moms and kids to train side by side, learn simple safety skills, and build real confidence together in a positive, supportive environment.

This is not an intense class. It’s something you and your child can actually enjoy together.

You’ll learn:
• Simple, practical self-defense skills
• Confidence and awareness
• Fun partner drills

Ages 4-6: (9AM - 9:30AM)
Ages 7-12: (9:30AM - 10:00AM)

No experience needed. Just come ready to move, have fun, and try something new together.

Spots will be limited to keep the class personal, so be sure to grab yours when registration opens.

It’s Demonstration Week 🎉

Starting tonight, our students will be showing off everything they’ve been working so hard on this cycle. This is their time to build confidence, step in front of an audience, and truly shine on the mat.

A few quick reminders:
• Students should wear their full traditional uniform (white, blue, red, or black)
• Families are welcome to watch and support
• If you’re watching from the workout floor, please remember to remove your shoes
• There are no Color Belt classes Monday through Friday
• There are no White Belt classes on Friday due to Cycle Changeover

We can’t wait to see all of the hard work, growth, and confidence come to life this week. Let’s go, team 💪

🎉 Buddy Day is Back at Millcreek Karate! 🎉

Students may invite one non-member buddy in their same age group to attend their regular class with them.

👊 After class, students who bring a buddy (and their buddy) will head to the second workout floor for board breaking.
Students without a buddy will attend class as normal.

⭐ Every student who brings a buddy earns an entry into our current referral contest!

📲 All buddies must register and complete the waiver electronically in advance.
