With slow Bay fishing reports and small anchovies, we opted for the ocean for a better chance of bagging some fish. Despite windy conditions the swell was small and we made our way to the rockfish grounds within our 1/2 day reach. We tried a couple spots and found a good one that cooperated for 21 limits along with a lone lingcod. Plenty of room daily for our the next salmon season opener beginning August 1. Slow Bay fishing conditions turned our 1/2 day halibut/striped bass trip to a rockfishing trip where we saw great action for 17 early limits of rockfish, 6 cabezon, and 2 lingcod.
The salmon fishing has been difficult lately. Our last trip on Friday 7/17 resulted in 4 salmon up to 22 pounds along with a beautiful ocean striped bass. Better fishing reported today 7/18.

Happy 250th Birthday America! 🇺🇸
Our 4th of July half day was a great success. The Bay fishing has dried up recently and we decided to venture into the ocean in search of some fishing action. The move paid off well for our group - catching 21 striped bass to 10 pounds, 2 halibut to 12 pounds, and 1 salmon!
We are on our way in to get the boat cleaned up and turned around for our annual afternoon fishing and fireworks charter.

On this last day of June we decided to take a different route. We were blessed with good fishing this morning, doubling our catch over the day before. A call came through from our sister boat KingFish. Capt. RJ was into the fish hot and heavy. We ran to the spot and boxed everything we needed for 14 limits (28) of salmon up to 25 pounds! Different weather and ocean conditions today. We went back to yesterday’s hot spot and found just a few biting fish for the morning. Once the tide got right, the fish started to bite, but not as readily or steadily as the day before. We picked at the fish throughout the afternoon which helped to put together a nice day of 26 salmon up to 23 pounds along with one 12 lb. striped bass for our 19 anglers. We are full again on Monday.
