For many years, we sat in the stands at Elko Speedway watching the show. One day in July of 2022, we went to our first ever Nascar Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. There, outside of a rain-soaked driver's meeting, Thomas got to meet and fist bump Kyle Busch.

He left the race, came home, and asked to get in a go-kart. After a few races in a quarter midget, and lots of go-kart time, soon after, he debuted in the Elko Bandoleros in the 2023 season.

Kyle Busch wasn't just a great racer and a devoted family man. He was also an inspiration to millions of people -- including one boy with a green car.

We've raced with a #8 ever since that day. On Saturday, we race for the #8.
