We would just like to inform everyone that we at Macie Ryan Racing have made the difficult decision to not run this evening's Eve of Destruction event at Elko Speedway.

Macie has been feeling quite sick the past few days, and we have been trying to treat her with rest and fluids. Although she stated that she wanted to go try and race today, we as her parents had to make the choice to keep her on the sidelines for her own health and safety and the safety of her competitors. With that said we wish everyone racing tonight good luck. We are going to bring her in to be checked out and possibly be back in time to watch the end of tonight's event!

We sincerely apologize to all our loyal fans and sponsors that cheer on the #11, but we need to do what is best for our driver.

Race recap 7/25/26 Elko Speedway

This weekend was one of those weekends that could break a race team. But Macie Ryan Racing pushed thru and handled all the punches thrown our way.

We started out with a practice session on Friday that ended with a gear failure. We installed a new gear so we were ready for an early start time on Saturday, but as we were loading the car, we discovered that the brand new gear was binding up.

Saturday morning we unloaded and discovered that the gear was faulty from the factory. We installed a used gear that we knew was good and set out for practice. The car looked good and was showing some decent speed. Macie has been telling us that her motor has been "bogging" for a couple of weeks, but we haven't been able to find any issues.

Saturday was 2 complete race nights in one, so that means we had 2 qualifying runs, 2 heat races, and 2 features.

Qualifying 1 looked good and she qualified 9th, much better than the last 2 weeks at Elko.

Heat 1 the gear gremlin came back and tore up another rear end gear. The crew jumped in and installed another new gear and chain guide, checked the chain alignment, squared the motor and rear end.

Feature 1 started 9th and was moving forward until the car started making some weird noises and she pulled off. She said the motor shut off and would not start back up. After some quick diagnosis it was determined that her motor had blown up.

The crew jumped into action. Our friend Bryce Robison ran back to the shop and grabbed a spare motor that Michelle N Wade Brelje graciously let us borrow. We got the new motor in, but not in time to make the 2nd round of qualifying so that meant we would start in the back of feature 2.

Heat race 2 started 2nd finished 6th after a spin.

Feature 2 started last and made some great passes at the start, but unfortunately got spun out and another car that had no where to go ran into to her and ended her night.

We have a good amount of work to do this week and some parts to replace, but we will be back and stronger than ever next week for double features at Elko Speedway.

We can't thank our sponsors enough for helping make this all possible.

Weekend race recap

Friday at Golden Sands Speedway....

We made our return to Golden Sands for our second time. With 22 cars on the property, we knew we had our work cut out for us.

She qualified 14th, the top 12 made it to the double feature events, and the rest had to race a last chance qualifier.

In the LCQ Macie started 6th. With only 10 laps she knew she had no time to waste. She quickly fought her way up to 3rd, and would finish 4th, punching her ticket to the main events.

We started in 16th for both features. She made some great moves on restarts, and made some great passes, she just didn't have the speed on the longer runs. Both features we finished 14th. The results are not very indicative of the performance that we had. Overall it was a successful night.

After a few hours of sleep, we made the 1 hour trek down to Dells Raceway Park. This was our first trip to this track. Michelle N Wade Brelje rented the track for the morning so all the RACK SHACK BBQ cars could get some valuable time on the track. Macie wasn't sure that her car was working right. She has been saying it is down on power for the last 2 weeks. We have rebuilt the carburetor and entire fuel system, changed plugs, and changed valve springs but nothing has helped. We asked our teammate Justice Doubrava to take her car out, he came back in and confirmed her beliefs that our motor isn't quite up to par. With no other options we decided to just run what we brung, and go make laps and have fun.

This race was a national qualifying race so we were expecting a good car count, and that is what we got. 27 Bandoleros showed up to try to make this race.

In qualifying the top only the top 16 made the 1st feature. Macie was sitting on the bubble in 16th, and her bestie Allison Brelje bumped her out by 1 tenth of a second! We were a little bummed, but we were supper pumped for Allison.

Because we didn't make the 1st A feature, we were forced to run a heat and a B feature.

In the heat race her car broke before the green flag even waved. So we had a DNS. Michael Doubrava and I went to work to get the car ready for the B feature.

She started 7th in the 10 lap B feature. She had a great race, she passed 3 cars in 1 corner taking them 4 wide on the top. She missed some huge wrecks and finished 2nd (if she had 1 more lap she would have won!)

Her finish in the B main earned her a spot in the second A feature. She started 16th and had raced all the way up to 7th, before dropping back to a 12th place finish.

These Wisconsin cars are no joke. The drivers get the chance to race 2 and even sometimes 3 times a week. We are super proud of Macie Ryan Racing for the job she did both nights. These races were also the first races that she didn't have a spotter (most Wisconsin tracks don't allow them) so she was out there doing her own thing. She gained a TON of confidence, and had a TON of fun! She loves both of these tracks and will definitely be back with a new motor and see what we can do!

Back home at Elko Speedway this weekend for the GNL Summer Shootout.

Busy race weekend for Macie Ryan Racing. We are running double features at 2 tracks this weekend!

Tonight we head back to Golden Sands Speedway in Plover Wisconsin. We are looking to improve on our last trip here last month. Macie is a big fan of this track so it be a fun night!

Tomorrow we head to Dells Raceway Park in Wisconsin Dells. This is another new track for Macie, and we are excited to give it a try.
